This was so out of my normal reading, kinda historical romance meets the military hero's, everytime I wanted to put it down it drew me harder, from the childhood memories of seeing someone to seeing them again but not really knowing for sure, to the witches and their spells, and the King's mounted security so to speak, I loved this book, thank you, Dana Zamora

The story is set in medieval France among a warrior band serving King Charles. The main character, Lara, knows the healing arts as taught to her by her guardian Sofia. She is a woman who can take care of herself, as Talon, the captain of the band soon finds out. The romance between the two unfolds amid a tale that encompasses adventure, duty and vengeance. Ms. James has a talent for world-building and each character rounds out the story that takes quite a few twists and turns along the way. If you love historical romance with lots of action and surprises, this is the story for you.

Though I adored Lara and all of the powerful energy she brought to the story, Talon is my favorite kind of hero. Ruggedly handsome, strong, brave, and fiercely devoted to his lady love. Couldn’t put it down and was sad when it ended. Michele has a way of writing men that I fall in love with every time. Talon is my favorite of them all!

If you enjoy both adventure and romance you’ll love this book. You’ll fall in love with Lara and Talon and their exploits. Just when it seems everything is settled the author surprises you. I enjoyed the very descriptive style and the historical facts Barber has included in the book. I highly recommend Warrior Mine. I couldn’t put it down because what happens next is anyone’s guess. I look forward to the next book Michele Barber will write in this series.
