Joanne Eagles Honeycutt graduated from the University of North Carolina
in Chapel Hill in English Education and received a Masters in Reading at
East Carolina University. She taught in the Pitt County Schools and Pitt
Community College before retiring.
In 2016, Joanne received the Sallie Southall Cotton Award from the City
of Greenville Historic Preservation Commission for her continued dedication
to preserving eastern North Carolina history through the Eastern Carolina
Village and Farm Museum. For years, she has volunteered for this open air
museum, a project of her father’s, Connor Eagles.
Her regard for history prompted her to write FROZEN ANGELS, Book I of
the Edgecombe Trilogy. Watch for the upcoming sequels to her first novel.
Joanne is a charter member of the De Novo Book Club and the Kiwanis
Club of Greater Greenville, one of the first all women clubs in Kiwanis
International. Other interests include bridge, tennis, art, and the beach,
but most of all, she loves the spiritual side of life.
Presently, Joanne and her husband Rhett live in Greenville, North Carolina,
along with their son Mark and his family.
