Enemies To Lovers Mafia Romance is one of my favorite kinds of romance. And this book gave me what I needed!!

Thalia and Alexander are both from the same mafia and they hate each other, like HATE! This book is so spicy and I love how the hate they have runs throughout the whole book. Such an amazing read and I can’t wait to learn more about Killian in his book and Rowan!

I wanted to like this book. And it was good at part but overall it was eh. I can’t even give it a 3 I have to give it a two because so many things made me so mad. Spoilers ahead, first why if the Russians are trying to kill them would they go to Russia like they couldn’t send anybody else. Like that was so stupid and so many plot points were not good. The premise is great but the execution is not. Like why did they literally kill Zander off and then said jk he’s alive just in a coma. Oh and don’t forget that she now has a child. Like this book was all tell and some show. And killian becoming the leader was kind of stupid but I’m not surprised. Like I really wanted the girl to be the leader and be a powerful female mafia leader but of course not. Also the randomness of killians best friends/crush was annoying like I get it it’s a setup for the next book but it was just thrown in. Also I’m not a fan of love of the life dies but then they find someone else no thanks. So I will most likely be stopping with this book. It wasn’t bad but so infuriating with so many plot points that didn’t make sense and were just told to us. I will say I didn’t see the plot twist coming but also then the guy immediately getting killed was so anticlimactic. 2/5

Ehh it was alright. Nothing to special. But I will say I feel like this was a true enemies to lovers.

It kind of felt like I was readying a book on Wattpad. This isn’t as steamy as other books I’ve read but it’s a nice quick read. I haven’t ready mafia books in a while, this one wasn’t so bad. The one thing I didn’t like about this book was Thalia be so weak, she was supposed to be the Donna but she was weaker than Alex which disappointed me.

- arc received in exchanged for a honest review -

This book didn’t do it for me. I didn’t connect with the characters and it took me a while to push through.

The writing.
There was a lot of dialogue and not enough descriptions. I noticed a lot of telling instead of showing and I personally like to imagine the scene as I go along in the story. During the middle/end of the book the conflicts were rushed. For example if the characters did something it would immediately resolve. So, I wasn’t kept on my toes wondering if the characters would be okay or not since I didn’t even have time to worry about them.

The Characters.
I did not like Alexander or Thalia they are so immature!! I don’t mind if characters have multiple non committed relationships, but I don’t like the way it was played out in the book.

(Small spoiler ahead)

Alexander is more immature than Thalia. After the slept together he wakes up and notices she’s not there and he basically throws a hissy fit about it. Grow up.
Thalia it’s like she was trying to be a badass but she wasn’t and I didn’t like it at all.
And me personally I would not consider this book an enemies to lovers it’s more of “I don’t like you for this stupid reason and you don’t like me either” because the characters never DO anything they just verbally say how they don’t like each other FOR NO REASON.

Overall I didn’t enjoy it, but I will continue to finish the series to see if the last book is better.
