How to Tap or Scan - iPhones


Tap on New iPhones For iPhone XR, XS, 11, 12, 13 and later models: To share with newer iPhone models, position your Wave card close to the upper back part of their iPhone and hold it there briefly until you see a push notification. Please note: If you encounter any difficulties, ask them to unlock their phone and give it another try. This method is often successful in resolving any issues.	Tap on Older iPhones For iPhone 6, 7, 8 or X: iPhone 6: In order to scan an NFC-enabled product, you'll have to first get an NFC reading app. You can easily download one from the App Store. iPhone 7, 8, or X: Initiate the process by swiping down to reveal the Control Center. Look for the NFC Tag Reader icon and tap on it to activate NFC. You're now all set to use NFC for interactions with other devices or tags.	Scan on All iPhones QR Code Sharing for iPhone: Your personal QR code is compatible with any modern smartphone. You can locate it on the back of your Wave card or under the share tab in the Wave app's bottom menu screen.

How to Tap or Scan - Android


Tap on Androids NFC-Enabled Android Phones: To share with any Android, position your Wave card close to the center back part of their Android phone and hold it there briefly until you see a push notification. Please ensure NFC is enabled in the settings.	Enable NFC on Androids NFC Must Be Turned ON in The Settings: In contrast to iPhones, Android devices offer the flexibility to disable NFC via their settings. Prior to sharing anything with an Android device, ensure that the recipient's NFC feature is activated. To switch on NFC, simply type 'NFC' into the search bar within the Android phone's settings.	Always Equipped With a QR Code Plan B - The QR Code: Your personal QR code is compatible with any modern smartphone. I have to say my experience with Wave has been phenomenal so far. One thing that immediately impressed me is how intuitive the app is. Setting up my card took just a few minutes and I was able to customize it with my photo, logo, and social media links in no time at all.
What really sets them apart from its competitors is how it allows you to share your card with others EASILY. The app uses NFC tech which means you can simply tap your phone against someone else's to instantly share your card. And while other digital business card apps use NFC too, I found that Wave was more reliable and had a wider range than other apps I've tried.
Another thing I appreciated about Wave is the analytics on how many times your card has been viewed and shared (you get this feature with a PRO subscription.) This feature is incredibly helpful for tracking your networking efforts.
Overall, I think Wave is the clear winner when it comes to digital business cards. It’s simple to use, reliable, and has analytics making it a standout app that I'd highly recommend to any business professional.

P.S. Wave doesn’t require an app unlike the other options out there meaning you can share with anyone via their web browser.

Creates "wow" in a business card

Last year I bought my first Wave card. When you tap the card, your contact info appears on their phone. Brilliant.

Every time the other person says "wow, that is so cool".

My reply is this is a Canadian company, you control what gets shared and is a sound environmental choice. The free version is most adequte and the paid version has serious advantages.

How may people said "wow" the last time you handed them your paper business card?

The only downsides are:
(a) you need internet or wifi access - though in those situations they can take a pic of the QR code
(b) not all phones respond the same. For android you tap in one place, for iPhone in another. It seems at times the type of case matters.

Overall, I cannot see going back to a paper business card. For one of my companies, the paid version connects to our CRM and you can get customer data never available this way with a paper card.

Well done! Great value and so much fun to watch people react as they see your Wave card drop your contact profile into their phone.

I really do like the concept of this. I think going digital is the way to go. Business cards get lost and people do not take the time to add your contact to their contacts, unless THEY are looking to sell to you. That old chestnut.

The matte black card with NFC and custom QR code on the back does look really slick and modern. The print is white raised ink and there is a tactile feel to it. The QR code works with a QR reader, no worries. However, the NFC was a little flakey during my trial. I could scan it with my Wife's cell, but mine did not work. The NFC was active and it just did not scan. The reader is functioning well according to a hardware scan on my device.

This would be cool if the NFC tap was flawless and with security concerns, people tend to disable NFC on their phones. QR codes are still useful and this APP uses that technology well.

When scanned, the user is directed to your profile. It is basic. You have your photo, name, contact info, social media, about you, photo gallery, web site link, and background image. This is included with your purchase of the card. There is a PRO version that includes Google Maps, Video, Files, custom Typeform web form, and Calendly plugged in. This is an added monthly fee of $6.99 monthly, or $66.99 annually. The PRO version includes CRM Integrations, analytics, calendar integration, access to "pro content", and team showcase.

This can be used basic, or if you are astute, link to a funnel and you can add whatever you like on the connected page. I see the value in the PRO account, but I am not a fan of paying for a product that needs to be upgraded to get the best value. I could be alone in this thinking, but I prefer transparency. The company should disclose the PRO features and costs associated in the product description. This was not done. Also, it says "No App Required" which is not 100% truthful. You do need NFC capabilities (hardware limitation) and a QR reader. The reader is an APP. Only some phones can scan using the camera on the phone natively.

All in all, it is a great idea. It is a conversation piece and it does place your information on the screen of smart phones. The price at the time of ordering was $25, which is a decent price of the quality of the digital plastic card and the APP features attached for a basic profile. If you are a power networker, this may be what you are looking for. Recommended for trendy types.

This card is a game changer, as someone who attends tradeshows and conferences regularly I was constantly fumbling with physical business cards and worried about losing them.
