I use this for a connection from my truck to an inverter. The connector is exposed to the elements under the hood when the 8000 watt inverter is not hooked up to the truck.
This is extremely conductive grease. When using the inverter, I often pull 3-5 minute loads of over 500 amps and this grease keeps the connection good enough that it does not get hot. It is, IMO, as good as bare metal connections, with the added ability to keep the metal connectors corrosion free.
Good stuff. Kinda expensive but you use so little that a tube will likely last your lifetime, so it isn't that bad. It does wash off, you'll need to reapply about every 4-8 months.
All in all, it is a good product that does what it is supposed to do and a fairly decent value
