Énid is an accomplished public speaker, podcast host, creator, actor and writer. She resides in Atlanta with her husband and son, where she enjoys trail-running, sunshine and all four-legged friends.
Thanks for stopping in. My name is Keri Willis. I am a semi-retired educator who spent a great deal of her career working with adults with developmental disabilities and many years in elementary education, both in the classroom and as an administrator. My main ministry now is coordinating the women’s ministry for our church in San Diego, CA, speaking at women's retreats and caring for my aging parents. God became my Abba Father when I was only five years old. He gave me a wonderful husband, two amazing grown and married children and one beautiful granddaughter.
I now have a head of full gray hair and good ideas. I believe we are created to use our gifts and to be creative. That comes in many forms for me. I love to woodwork and use power tools, plan ministry events, design, decorate, garden, and create new recipes. And I love to write.
One lesson I have learned in my writing journey is that I need to be still and listen to hear God’s voice before I am prepared to put into words the message he has instilled in my heart. This has been much easier since I am no longer working full time, but it is so easy to get distracted and not listen, which almost always ends with an empty page. What you see here is the result of hard work, lots of prayer and listening to that still small voice.
Happily settled in the hills of West Virginia, Jamie loves being a wife to her husband and mother to their seven children. As a veteran homeschool mom, she is passionate about using education as an opportunity to raise a generation ready and equipped to serve the Lord.
Anna Dabill, RDN, Author of Chapter 3 "Entering the College Drop-Off and Empty Nest: What's a mom to do?
As the nest was emptying she started blogging, took a 4-month traveling sabbatical with her husband, and moved to VA from MN. She works part-time as a dietitian and is working on future picture books.
Anna and her husband graduated from NDSU, have three adult kids, and love hiking, cooking, gardening, stand-up paddle boarding, and nature.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2024Loved that there were so many different viewpoints and experiences shared on school year transitions. As a grandparent, there were so many "nuggets" I found in each author's story. Remembering my "Why" is applicable to not only school, but real life. The college drop-off and empty nest brought back the same memories of dropping my own child off at college. Finding joy in the journey as well as building strong foundations to be a constant reminder to always be seeking wisdom, praying and trusting the Father in all circumstances. One of my favorites was the letting go chapter and knowing that your child's future may not look like your own or what you had hoped for them. I plan to order a copy for my daughter-in-law as they are now in the throws of home schooling. What a great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2024As a mother of grown children and now a grandmother, this collaboration of scripture-based advice, and encouragement for moms of school-aged children was a delightful read. These moms nailed it when sharing what to expect and how to navigate the journey of having school-aged children. Thinking back to when my children were younger, I can identify with the truths that were shared and reading each contributing author’s reflection is a reminder that all moms have much in common. The biblically based advice and shared scriptures was a reminder of how God brought me through the tough times of being a young mom, juggling days of work and family life, trying to be your child’s protector but also learning to let them grow their wings and come into their own. Sometimes as a mom, you feel like you are alone in this journey, that no one else understands your feelings as your children grow but these authors were willing to put it in print along with sound advice. If you are a mom, I highly recommend this read!
