Due to a power port going bad on a telescope base that I have, this 90, along with a modified forked power cord that a friend made for me, allowed for a cleaner cable configuration with less stress on another nearby power port on the telescopes base. The 90 configured a portion of the forked cable exiting the telescope bases power port from a horizontal position, into a downward configuration, so as to position the cable and port with less stress on them due to gravity bending the horizontally plugged in cable exiting the base into much more natural downward position.For my use this connector configured the cables into a position that put much less stress on the port on the telescopes base.This was just what I needed.

    I can give these 5 stars because they work for me pushing a max of 4 to 4.5A at 12v. However, they do get slightly warm. They may be able to do 5A, possibly a little more, but you would have to check them periodically to make sure they are not getting too hot. But 48 watts at 12v is doable.

    Quality made - poor design. Only 2 stars because the male end of the adapters are about 1/4" too long. Most devices do not have a power port anywhere near the depth needed for these. I purchased these adapters to reduce the standoff of my devices to the wall behind them. The length of the male end of these adapters force the device standoff to be almost the same as the original straight connector. Out of a set of 5, 3 of them should have a shorter male end to achieve the purpose installing an angle adapter anyway.

    I bought the 90 degree adapters because the charger I bought has a straight plug instead of a right angle plug. Out of five pieces in the package, three work. The other two will make contact if you hold the plug from the charger to the side. The adapters are larger than I expected so they are too tall to fit under the light to allow it to stand properly.
