About the Author

Patsy Buell grew up in Minnesota and graduated with MA and MS degrees from the University of Minnesota and St. Cloud State University. She met her husband Robert Stierna as an undergraduate at the U of M. She always wanted to be a writer, but didn't achieve her dream until she retired from teaching special education for 36 years. Researching, writing and editing her first book Visions from Two Continents took 20 years. This is a revision of that work which was first published in 2017. She now lives on two continents, dividing her time between Door County, Wisconsin USA and Melbourne, Australia.

Patsy Buell was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to an Australian-born mother. Patsy grew up in Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota. There she met her husband and took the married name, Stierna.

She always wanted to be a writer, but didn’t achieve her dream until she retired, after teaching for 36 years. Researching, writing, and editing her first book, Visions from Two Continents took 20 years. Her second book, Getting Beyond… which will be coming out soon, has been five years in the making.

She now lives on two continents, dividing her time between Door County, Wisconsin in the USA, during the Australian winter, and Melbourne, Australia the rest of the year.
