The test is up to 99.999% accurate and if additional legally binding paternity testing is required discounts are available. The STK Home Paternity Test is delivered to your door and includes swabs for gathering samples and a mailer for sending the genetic material back to the lab. The DNA testing lab is based in the USA and the paternity test samples are tested within hours of when they arrive by mail. Paternity testing takes 3-5 business days and status reports and results are available online. If you have questions about the paternity test result a 1-800 number is available. You will be able to print a copy of the paternity test results as soon as they are available online. A full color copy of the paternity test results is available to you by mail. Product does as what it says. Just follow directions which are easy to follow make sure you register online and in about a week you will have the results of the test. My reslut date got moved back a few days which were the most nerve racking 48 hours of my life but the email finally came and YES 99.7% my boy is my SON. Thank you. I would definitely reccomend to other people

    Don't let the thought of doing something as complex as DNA testing scare you....it's not nearly as intimidating as it sounds. The kit comes with everything you need and very detailed instructions. Basically you register your test online USE A COMPUTER BECAUSE PHONES DON'T WORK. After you get your test #, fill out the test paper which is just the names of subjects and stuff, real quick and easy. Swab the inside cheeks and inner lip area's for 1 whole minute with a swab, and then repeat with another swab, prop them up on the folded envelope for 15+ minutes to give them time to dry a little. After you have done that for the test subjects, put both of each individuals swabs in one envelope, seal, apply the tamper-proof sticker and repeat for the other subject. Put in the included envelope that is already addressed and has postage applied. I was leary of mailing it like that so got a priority envelope for like $5 at the post office which was sturdier and came with 2 day shipping with tracking. The lab received the samples on Monday and we had the results by Wednesday. You can choose to receive your results via mail or email. We chose email but that's just how they notify you that you can go to their website, enter security info and waaaa laaaa.

    Everything about this kit was great. My only recommendation for anyone purchasing the kit is to be aware of two important things. First, you MUST register your kit online before you send off the samples. It’s clearly stated in the instructions, but because it’s so important, I think maybe they should bring more attention to that fact. And second, again clearly indicated in the instructions, the results are not legally admissible to prove paternity as far as the courts are concerned. You can pay extra and follow some extra steps to get the results certified and legally admissible, but that is not the purpose of the basic kit. Otherwise - very happy with the kit, the instructions, and the results.

    I bought this product for my boyfriend, who is currently going through a custody battle over his 9 yr. old daughter. He was very young when he had her. He was 16 the mother was 14 and his parents never urged him to take a DNA test. I wanted to make sure we weren’t wasting our money on an attorney or time with the court if she wasn’t truly his daughter. This product gave us the peace of mind we needed. It was delivered quickly and the instructions were easy to follow, there were some details we missed like not licking the envelopes, but instead putting tape to seal them. Thankfully it didn’t affect anything. I got a message within 5 days that they received the samples. A few days later I received a text message of when the results will be ready. We got the results on that day. We’re very happy with this product. I would recommend it to anyone who just want that peace of mind!

    This is the second time I deal with the STK lab people. First time I had to deal with this people I took the sample from my daughter overseas and I shipped them the same day i arrived. I made a mistake and didn't know I was supposed to register the kit online.. I mean for some reason the kit also brings a long form where you write down your information which made me think that would be enough. Since the registration process online asks for the same information. Well, anyways somehow after a few days without hearing a thing from them I called them and was told that somehow the samples got lost at the lab. They couldn't find anything with my name on. I tried registering the kit afterwards but somehow despite all of my efforts they said they couldn't find them. Well, given the circumstances I couldn't make another trip to go get the samples again so I asked them to send me a replacement kit given that they lost the samples so I could register the whole thing again and get new samples in a few months when I visited my country again.. well, turns out that for them to mail me the replacement kit I had to pay a fee of $8 for regular shipping and $25 for expedited.. so, even though they were the ones who lost my samples I still had to pay for the new kit.. well, I went along and paid and after a few days I got the replacement kit.

    Well, It wasn't until after a few months that I went back to my country and I was able to retake the samples and send them again. Well, to my surprise after I sent the kit I received a call after a few days. They told me the kit came from a NY address and given that fact they couldn't process. Now, when I initially bought the kit there were no issues with NY customers.. but during the few months I waited to go back to my country they started this new policy.. they said they couldn't process my samples and that I'd have to take them again. It's my understanding that given my situation and that I bought the kit at a time when these new rules didn't exist I don't think they applied to me. I tried to get them to make an exception but after a very big argument which involved them hanging up on me about 3-4 times they put me with a supervisor who agreed to send the samples back to me so I could resend them from NJ to have them processed. Well, on top of everything they said I had to pay to have the samples shipped back to me.. I told them I wouldn't pay.. I spoke with another supervisor who after a heated argument agreed to ship the samples for free. After waiting for about 2 weeks the samples never arrived. I called them and they told me they were discarded because they never got back from me.

    Now, I bought this separate kit for my brother who had a similar situation (I bought it again because he lives in NJ and because this is the only kit amazon sells that includes all the lab fees). Given the previous experience I made sure to register all of this and to take all the important measures. I shipped the samples from NJ and they received them 5-6 days after.. they called me bc I sent 3 samples and the fee I paid only included the analysis of 2.. I told them to discard the 3rd one from the mother and ended up keeping 2. Well, I called them after a few days because I tried to check the status of the samples online and it was asking for a pick up code which I didn't have and never got through email or anything. Well, after reviewing my situation they said they couldn't give me the pick up code because they only have access to it during the first 24 hours after the kit is registered. When you register the kit they don't send you an email telling you the pick up code.. they only show it on a screen. You are supposed to write it down from there or make a print screen because once you close the window the code is lost forever and they won't give it to you unless you call within 24 hours.

    I called and since it had been past the first 24 hours they offered me a solution which involved me paying $30 extra dollars to get a copy of the printed report. They said that since I didn't write down my pick up code when It was shown to me on the registration process I needed to pay that. They also said they were not able to get me the pick up code to see the results online. If I don't pay the 30 bucks I wont be able to tell if this child is truly my niece or not.. that's on top of the $99 this kit is worth.

    I hate this company and I will make sure everybody knows what kind of people run this lab. They are incoherent, they treat people like garbage and they offer no flexibilities or customer service at all. I'm very disappointed and I think anybody will be better off using other services.

    I've used Identigene's services and they were amazingly fast and reliable. No online registration was required and they sent us a hard copy and a digital copy by default. Identigene had my result ready 48 hours after they received the samples. They'd also call you by phone and tell you the results. This people from GTL said they got the samples on monday and it wouldn't be up until next tuesday until I will be able to know anything. Thats 8 days.

    This company should not be allowed to sell on Amazon. They are a really bad company with really bad business ethics. So you'd be better off staying away from them.

    I got my kit on Wednesday, two days after ordering on Amazon. We did the tests and had them mailed off that Friday. I got the results 5 days later on Wednesday. Instructions were easy to follow, and there were no extra charges unless I wanted to add a child. Remember to save the reference number and the password you make when you register the kit online, before mailing it out. They sent me a case number and pin by email, so I was a little confused when I tried that number to login to get results and it didn't work. My email didn't work either, but the reference number did. Really happy with this kit and would definitely recommend it to others.
