About the authors
A storyteller most of his life, JP Behrens has weaved an intricate web of bold faced lies, some of them in the form of stories. Everything in one's life is a learning experience, and he's tried to learn from both wondrous successes and miserable failures. Though JP has managed to fib less often, he still tells the occasional exaggerated tale here and there.
Living in one of the safest towns in America, J.T. Patten's story lines are anything but safe. An Amazon #1 best seller across over eight categories in Horror, Thriller, and Suspense, his dark fiction novels and novellas have received MUST READ praise and five-star ratings from Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, BookList, Reedsy, and more.
He is an active member of the Horror Writers Association, International Thriller Writers, and Nashville Song Writers Association. His initial best-selling works have gained acclaim for their "blacker than black" brooding narrative that illuminate the blurred lines in life and twist traditional tropes on their head. A former intelligence professional and special mission advisor, he has seen the best and worst of humanity; an inescapable reality of light, darkness, and all things grey that find their way to his pages.
He has a degree in Foreign Language, a Masters in Strategic Intelligence, graduate studies in Counter Terrorism from the University of St. Andrews.

I love stories. I love consuming them and telling them. Whether as books or comics or movies or interactive role playing games or even on stage doing improv, I just love stories.
I currently work as a graphic designer where I get to tell other people's stories in images and brands. In my spare time I write and illustrate a web comic called The Eldritch Age.
I have a fascination for science, both as it is right now and for the possibilities it opens up in the technological sense but also the philosophical one.
This is where the ideas for my books come from; the clash of thought and science and where, in the long run, it can lead us as a species.
Brian J. Smith is the author of Dark Avenues, 1342 Lindley Road, The Tuckers, Consuming Darkness Abbie’s Wrath, Bad Allergies and Dead River. His short fiction has been published in The Horror Zine, Dark Horses: The Magazine Of Weird Fiction and The Drabblecast. He resides in southeastern Ohio has too many books and buys more, thinks that Valentine’s Day should be replaced by Second Halloween and doesn’t drink enough coffee. He is an affiliate member of The Horror Authors Guild and can be found on Facebook under Brian Smith, Twitter under BrianJS913 and on Instagram under horrorauthor9.
Geraldine Borella writes fiction for children, young adults and adults. She's had over thirty stories and poems published in anthologies, magazines, online and in podcast. She loves working in the speculative fiction realm where the impossible becomes possible, but she also likes to play with contemporary fiction too. She lives in Far North Queensland, Australia, on Ngadjon-Jii land—think rainforests, volcanic crater lakes, the reef—and as a young adult she almost burned down her house. (Yes, reading can be dangerous!)

H.K. Slade grew up fascinated by storytelling, the magical process that allows one person to transport another back in time, across the universe, and into the middle of danger, mystery, or adventure with mere words. Some of his favorite practitioners of this art include Sir Terry Pratchett, Raymond Chandler, Tony Hillerman, Steven Pressfield, Christopher Moore, Tamora Pierce, and Jim Butcher.
First published in the Powhatan Review many years before the invention of the Zune, H. K. Slade has since had his works of fiction published in Black Cat Mystery Magazine, Dark Horses Magazine, The Yard, Black Cat Weekly, and Mystery Weekly.
