I was uncomfortable sticking my hands in an aquarium’s with lots of electric devices. Then I found this. Excellent price and quality, after my first blackout tripped this device it took m`e a moment to figure out why power has not been restored to my tank. Once I remembered I had setup this gfi, I pushed the reset button and poof, power. I highly recommend this if you have to expose yourself to a water/electricity mix
I have used them for many years.
Never had any failures.
Additional Protection to valuable electronic devices.
I have certain circuits hardwired to be shed in the event of a power failure, and use these outlets to keep other items from coming on when the generator takes over. When the power is back on, I simply reset these outlets.
It saves fuel and helps control electrical load on the generator if it were to come on due to power failure, and I'm not home to address it.
Top reviews from other countries
After first thinking the GFCI was broken, I realized that the breaker has to be reset each time it is unplugged.
The information refers to LED status indicators, but there is no such indicator on the device itself. You can’t tell whether it has been tripped, except by the fact that no current is flowing in the load. The feature of auto-trip once the power is removed ( ie device unplugged) is good. My main use of this device is in the garage, where the receptacle typically supplies my snowblower starter and various gardening tools, plus lithium battery charger.
