These things are a ridiculous amount of work, my father's is a network engineer and helped me set them up. I tried to return them with no response. Tried to get ahold of someone from ubiquiti for help, NOTHING! Everytime the power goes out I have to factory reset and re set all parameters (annoying) on top of that the units software will sometimes not reset or will freeze and up the latter to the roof to reset again. I ended up using cat6 under wire and fixed all my problems. These suck! Unrealible, won't play nice with access point, climb on the roof to reset, factory reset them selves when loose of power, no directions or customer service. I did update the firmware, mounted them with in 150ft

I found a cat5 on the side of the house(originally meant for a security camera) and mounted the access point. The client went on a boat dock 100 yds away. It has been working reliably for months now. On the dock I have a wireless access point, 8MP camera, smart home controller, smart home light switches, and IP controlled surge protector that will auto-reboot the client if ping test to the router fails. All connected just fine.

I am a Systems Administrator and I have set these up before. However, the reason I purchased this particular unit is because the seller claimed that these two units come PRE-CONFIGURED. I did this because I had to send this to a out-of-state location and just wanted the maintenance guy at that remote location to not have to mess around with configuration, however, It did not come pre-configured whatsoever so I ended up having to travel to the location in order to get it working.
