Every time I read this book with my 7-year-old daughter, it sparks great conversations about things she's going through in her life or things other people may be going through. I really feel it's helping her be more empathic and it's reminding me to challenge all of us on things. I bought this book for my kids, but it's teaching me more than it is them, I think! I was crying by unnumbered page 5. What big thoughts put simply.
Thoughts I have made it through many times in my 71 years but never put in words.
Of course sometimes it hurts and can be hard work to do the right thing. We might even have to give up comforts and even lose friends to be the change we want to see.
But it’s all worth it in the end. Good message for anyone.
