The Greek gods certainly don't have a monopoly on scheming and convoluted relationships. The characters in this book can certainly match them there. There's a large cast of characters in this series even in the beginning, but we're focused here on the twins Raven and Scot who have issues that in this book are beginning to be exploited for others gain and Cyan who is saved by Raven after which they discover a mutual attraction that the battles among every god and demigod seems determined to thwart at every turn. There are plots within plots and wheels within wheels here and I can't wait to see how things develop in further volumes of this series. The world building is detailed and always interesting.

This is book 1 of a new dark urban fantasy series called The Félidés Clan, by Jae Greyn.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the cast of characters, listed at the beginning of the book, because there's a lot going on and it's nice to have this background information. I found this information invaluable. There are a lot of players, some doing good things while the majority seem to be doing bad things. Raven (the god of justice) and Scot (the god of war) seem to be getting the short end of the stick.

This is a fairly quick read, at 93 pages, but with the time manipulation and plane hopping it seemed a much bigger story.

Will Raven ever get that second date with Cyan? You'll have to read the book to find out.

I can't wait to see what's coming in book 2.
