The roller coaster of emotions that one experiences during the healing process after losing a loved one is evident in this book. I Look to the Mourning Sky is an eclectic poetry book. The poems vary in length and structure. There is also a variation in the weight of the themes presented. Some of the poems feel like a conversation between her and her dad. Some are written as reminders to herself, and still, others feel like a conversation between her and the reader.

Each poem is beautifully written. Each poem reflects Liz's heart. Each poem is a magnificent tribute to her late father.

"everyone who knows me
will know you too."
Through reading this book, not only have I gotten to know Liz, but I've also gotten to know her dad. She's a beautiful reflection of him.
