This book is an absolute GEM! 5 stars is simply not enough for this work of art. Elaina's writing is beautiful. I honestly was not expecting to FEEL so much while reading this. This story felt so REAL and elicited honest and raw emotions. This was the type of read that had me nodding my head in agreement, shaking my head at some of the decisions made, and wanting to highlight everything. Odette's story is believable and 100% relatable. She had some extremely tough decisions to make, and it felt as though Elaina transplanted me right into Odette's mind.
The character development is fantastic. Odette...I didn't necessarily like her and did not agree with what she was doing, but I absolutely could empathize with her situation. Her emotional struggles with Avery and Parker were not ideal, however, I can understand her feeling as though her current relationship no longer served her. I was so connected to Odette and was rooting for her to make the right decisions. Witnessing Odette work through her problems, heal and grow, was like therapy for me. When I was done reading, I had to sit with my thoughts and reflect on my own life. I loved this book and I highly recommend it
This powerful book explores some heavy topics, so it is important to check your trigger warnings.
What stands out most about this book is the author's ability to create well-developed characters with relatable struggles. Odette, the protagonist, faces a myriad of challenges, from the strains in her marriage to the heart-wrenching grief over the loss of her stillborn child. Despite these hardships, Odette's journey towards healing and understanding is both inspiring and relatable.
Elaina Lyons has a talent for crafting fast-paced dialogue that keeps the reader engaged and invested in the story. The exchanges between the characters not only reveal their personalities but also add depth and authenticity to the narrative. The inclusion of steamy scenes adds an extra layer of excitement, creating a well-rounded reading experience.
This book successfully captures the emotional roller coaster that marriages can undergo. Odette's experiences with therapy, her exploration of her own desires, and her involvement in an affair with a married coworker are portrayed with authenticity and nuance. Through it all, the story offers a rewarding outcome as Odette discovers what she truly wants in life.
For those seeking an emotionally packed read that can be enjoyed in a short span of time, "The Love You Know" is a perfect choice. It skillfully handles the complexities of relationships and showcases the author's ability to capture the struggles and triumphs of love. However, it is important to note that the book touches upon the sensitive topic of stillbirth, so readers should approach with caution if it might be a trigger for them.
As Odette grapples with her feelings for Parker and her fading connection to her husband, readers are not just silent observers but feel as though they're walking this tumultuous journey with her. The juxtaposition of the love she's familiar with against the newfound passion and excitement she discovers with Parker highlights the oft-asked question: Is the comfort of the familiar better than the unpredictability of the new?
However, what stands out most is Lyons' ability to delve into Odette's past, seamlessly intertwining it with the present, making the narrative so much more than a simple love story. It's a tale of confronting one's demons, coming to terms with buried pain, and realizing that sometimes the most challenging choices lead to the most profound growth.
In "The Love You Know", Lyons doesn't just tell a story; she evokes raw emotions, compelling readers to introspect about their own choices, loves, and regrets. A truly unforgettable read.

I think this is a must-read for anyone who craves a story that tugs at your heartstrings and leaves you forever changed.
This book is not for everyone as Odette’s life choices are not examplary. But I believe her story has its unique value to everyone who ever experienced the loss of a child. For me, it was deeply touching to see the woman who found her own path to healing. This book contains a very powerful message, and I believe it can help every woman with similar trauma connect and start healing.
