    I recently got a SCUF Xbox Series X controller, which I love. I travel and wanted to play Xbox game pass on my laptop, so I got this case to bring my controller with me. I have no worries about the controller getting damaged because of impact to the case; it's a hardshell case (caveat, it's not impervious to all blunt forces). But when you hold it in your hands with the controller inside, you can hear and feel the controller moving around. Sure the controller fits nicely inside, but I wish it had a little more form fitting padding to hold it in place so it doesn't move around. I haven't had any issues with the controller breaking or anything like that, and maybe it never will, but the thought definitely crosses my mind.

    I was throwing my Xbox controller in my bag unprotected, and it gave me severe anxiety about the sticks. This case holds the controller and provides enough resistance to other items that, provided I do not put a laptop, water bottle, or brick on it, it will protect the sticks from being tangled in wires or smashed against the side of the backpack.

    It could be firmer, and if I were putting a nicer controller in it, I would want something that felt like it could be placed under a brick. I'd also expect to pay more, so this is probably exactly where it belongs as far as a controller case.
