How Much Coffee Does the Airscape Coffee Container Hold?

Small holds 10oz/250gr of whole bean coffee.

Medium holds 1lb/500gr of whole bean coffee.

Does the Airscape Coffee Container Let CO2 Out?

The Inner Lid that comes with the Airscape does not burp the naturally occurring C02 of coffee, but C02 is released every time you open your container.

However, you can buy the Fresh-Port Airscape Inner Lid which burps C02 automatically!

Can I put my Airscape in the dishwasher?

Yes, you can (on top shelf of the dishwasher). But we highly recommend hand-washing to prolong the life of your product. The Airscape inner lid should always be gently hand-washed and let out to air-dry.

What Are the Dimensions of the Airscape Coffee Containers?

Small: Height = 140 mm. Inner Circumference = 121 mm

My new coffee storage solution
I'm a snob who tosses out beans past 3 weeks but keeps them sealed in an airtight container in the interim; this is for my office setup where I grind & brew every just about every single morning, and this is my new favorite experience. Gone is the preposterously sound 'clunk' of a snap-lock tin can as I welcome this incredibly aesthetic pairing to my all-black Fellow grinder, kettle & scale.The seal is quite robust but also incredibly easy to operate. It's incredibly satisfying to use. I made this purchase after a plethora of container style reviews made by Jame's Hoffman a few years ago showing that brew variation between containers was marginal, but said out of displacement methods he found the Airspace to be the most enjoyable and just as effective as the rest, and I strongly agree: I look forward to that satisfying sound of unsealing and sealing this contraption in my morning routine now.I'll add I currently still keep my coffee bagged when placing in the canister, but I exclusively brew Onyx which comes in a smaller, malleable paper-like packaging that's easy to stow and squish down, so I can't speak to 'easy to clean' given I don't need to and won't give a rating since I haven't 'tested' this, but I can't imagine it's hard if I did: It's a stainless-interior jar.

I also got the spoon which may seem like an unnecessary tool but it fits right in the canister and really helps when using this. I totally recommend this product and the red looks great too! This Airscape canister was recommended to me by the production manager of a Kona coffee farm. The design is both incrediby simple and inventive. All you need to do is push down the gasket-ringed interior lid to force out air and lift it to release. It has an outer lid to keep out debris. It works so well that I wonder why I hadn't heard of it before. Considering that I pay a lot for top-notch whole beans, this Airscape is well-worth the cost.

This item is simple in concept, yet extraordinarily efficient and effective in keeping coffee fresh. The can is made of lightweight metal with an attractive outer finish. There are two lids - one that is pushed down to the level of the coffee while emitting air through a center valve for an airtight seal and another that sits at the top of the can to create a clean and attractive countertop presentation. Personally, I prefer to keep my countertop clear, so store coffee beans in a bread drawer; happily, the medium unit fits perfectly. Also note that the online description of capacity is accurate; the medium size is required for a standard 12+ ounce bag of whole coffee beans. This is a terrific find which I highly recommend.

Bought matcha powder in bulk and needed a large container to keep it fresh and easily accessible daily. Works great and matcha has been fresh, but sometimes when you press down to seal, it sucks out some of the powder and shoots it out of the vent at the top. Makes sense why it happens but it's a shame when the pricey powder gets shot out of the container like that sometimes.

This canister has a real nice high-end solid feel to it. We got the black version and the finish is gorgeous, so much so we just leave it out on our counter all day. It has a large rubber seal on the bottom so it doesn't mark up your counters or move / slip around.

Long story short decided to bite the bullet on this - even though it was kind of pricey - as we just tend to purchase the pre-ground up coffee in the bags (yeah probably should get a grinder some day) as it just speeds up things in the morning.

We had been trying to fully squeeze the air out of the retail bag (typically starbucks) so the remaining coffee in the bag is mostly airtight and then we store it in the freezer - none of that seems to work very well - usually about half way through the bag the coffee would change to a bitter flavor and we'd end up throwing away 1/3 - 1/2 of the bag. 📏

Haha after studying up - looks like the freezer way is not an ideal way - and there are probably other ways to store coffee better - but just letting you know about our process 🤷

Held off on writing the review until we could verify that this airtight canister made a difference and it really has. The seal part has been easy to use (even easy enough for our teenagers to consistently do) and we've fully used a full bag of coffee without it going bitter...woo hoo! ☕

Basically this canister has done exactly what we needed / wanted and am quite happy about it. Plus it looks so nice that we just leave it on the counter saving a trip to the freezer...one less thing to do in the morning and I still get my coffee - well you have sold me on that! 😁

Haha it may take several full bags of coffee before we make up for the price - but this is just easier to use - it looks nice - and we bought the spoon that fits perfectly inside on top of the seal so no longer trying to find a clean spoon / scoop (another small headache solved)...so this really just works for us.

Did NOT get paid or receive anything free for this review. Really just like the product and think it was well worth the few (several) bucks we threw at it, especially when combined with the compact scoop (have reviewed it too) 🙂

I use these for tea and tisanes.

Pros
1. Easy to clean.
2. Easy to use.
3. Look good.
4. Good quality.
5. Stacks well.
6. Keeps my herbs fresh.

Cons
1. Same as any type vacuum seal for tea. You have to be careful with loose leaf tea so you don't crush the leaves. These make it easy, but if you just crammed the lid down your leaves would have a bad day and be crushed.
2. I have one of these with a bamboo lid and the lid had a piece break off. No quality issues with anything else.
3. If you want a good seal and to be able to put the outer lid on, you need to keep ingredients about 1.5-2 inches below top.

Bought one for home and another for work and they both hold up great. Seals extremely well and is easy to use. Can't say I was able to smell anything coming from it.

The finish is also nice with a matt black paint and rubber anti-slip bottom pad.
