A NEXT BIG IDEA CLUB MUST-READ
The bestselling author and entrepreneur investigates what would happen if a new financial world order took hold, one in which global elites own everything and you own nothing—and yet you are somehow happy.
When Carol Roth first heard that one of the World Economic Forum’s predictions for 2030 was “You will own nothing, and be happy,” she thought it was an outlandish fantasy. Then, she researched it. What she found was that a number of businesses, governments, and global elites share a vision of a future that sounds utopian: Everyone will have everything they need, and no one will own anything.
From declines in home and vehicle ownership to global inflation and government spending, many of the trends of modern life reveal that a new world that is emerging—one in which Western citizens, by choice or by circumstance, increasingly do not own possessions or accumulate wealth. It’s the perfect economic environment for the rich and powerful to solidify their positions and prevent anyone else from getting ahead.
In You Will Own Nothing¸ Roth reveals how the agendas of Wall Street, world governments, international organizations, socialist activists, and multinational corporations like Blackrock all work together to reduce the power of the dollar and prevent millions of Americans from taking control of their wealth. She shows why owning fewer assets makes you poorer and less free. This book is essential guide to protecting your hard-earned wealth for the coming generations.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2023This could be one of the most important books you will ever read. Carol Roth gives you an inside look into the economic consequences of past, present and future actions by politicians and those who consider themselves an elite class who are helping push the middle class down into the lower ranks. The book is well written - easy to understand though I would suggest you read it in thirty minute periods so your mind can get a real grasp of what you have just read. Are you concerned about the dollar losing value, how you are going to feed your family, or about buying a home? Read the book to understand what has happened and what is happening right before our very eyes.
You Will Own Nothing answers a question a school teacher blurted out while my wife and I sat ate supper at a restaurant in 2010. She had tears in her eyes when she somewhat yelled, "What in the xxxx has happened to our country?" Great job Ms. Roth.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2025This was a quick read. Informative, interesting, and factual. I wish Carol spoke more about the billionaires that control all of government. Government overreach will stifle us all. Buy tangible assets. Thank you Carol for your advice. I learned over 20 years ago.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2024The book is well-written and loaded with well-documented information. No matter how much you know, there's always more to know and this book helps. For a long time, I've been studying what the psychopaths masquerading as philanthropists are up to and this is where this book falls a little short. At the end of an otherwise good book, I was hoping for some details on their modus operandi and timeline but didn't learn anything new.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2024Very good read. Highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2023This is a well documented and informative book about the economy and currencies. Also how the banking industry functions. It is not an easy read unless you are an economics wonk.
But my purpose in buying this book was getting advice on how to weather the upcoming economic changes. It is only the last chapter that addresses possible strategies. Nothing new in the methods to handle the possible upcoming financial crisis. It was a not a valuable purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a very important book.
This is a very important book. Everyone should be aware of the contents, that the economic elites essentially plan to enslave us. It contains some tips on how we can fight back. The Great Reset is coming in about five years. We have to be ready!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pay attention to this book!
Very well written and clearly explains the absolute greed of wealthy. More importantly it demonstrates how an uniformed or careless investor is responsible for preventing shared wealth and prosperity for all. Investment schemes that own hundreds of thousands of residential properties for the sole purpose of perpetual rental profits is creating a generation of indentured servants. Time is short if we don't take action to stop this thievery of the middle class. Money needs to stay in the hands of the working class, the very people who generate the wealth in the first place.
