The first thing I noticed about this filter is how much smoother my engine runs. I’ve used GM filters in the past but this filter is very well constructed and even has a wrapper around the bottom to keep foreign materials out until use. The silicone gasket looks heavy duty and the media looks up to the task. The price is right and this will be on my short list of premium oil filters.

There great filters from media to can construction. Use to buy Purolator one or boss but this is only filters going on my vehicles long as i can get them. Please keep selling them.

2014 Chevy Silverado 1500

Bought this because it has almost identical spec to the mobil 1 and royal purple filter, but priced $3-5 cheaper. Having used both the other filters I was skeptical at first, but this turned out to be a great value. No leaks, oil pressure is good, engine runs smooth and quiet. I live in upstate ny and cold starts were not an issue. Even after taking it in for scheduled maintenance, the mechanic said the oil is great shape and the engine looked clean as a whistle(approximate mileage on oil was 5500).

Also the exterior of the can is easy to grip because of the textured surface. I used a basic oil wrench to tighten it down and had no problems.

Overall, the quality is there and the price makes it an even better value. That is why I am purchasing again and will continue to in the future. Give it a shot, you'll be pleasantly surprised like I was.

As an automotive mechanic I change thousand of filters, I actually always out of habit look into the filter to make sure there is no foreign debris in them, but I notice a lot of oil filters only have about half the lengths of the can with filter material, therefore it has less filtering surface and old up quicker with unwanted materials. These PG filters have almost the entire can length covered with filter material just allowing enough room for the oil pressure bypass spring, so you are getting more filtering area, that holds more crude, the oil filter seal to the filter head is made of a quality material as well as the anti drain back valve in the filter itself. I have several trucks but one is a Ford with the 5.4 engine and it’s notorious for timing chain rattle on start up because oil pressure is used to apply the tension to the chain, normally because the pressure drains back through the filter when the engine is not running, I have found this filters have minimized it. I have also ran them up to 10K miles, and then cut them open and filter material was still in excellent shape. I would love to use them on my Ford F150 with the Coyote V8, but they are hard to find…

This filter was $7.34 cheaper than the Other premium brand filter I buy at an Auto Parts Store.

The premium Guard is way better, Instead of rubber gasket it has silicone gasket as well as a silicone anti drain back gasket.

The actual gasket material is Not Made of paper that could end up in your engine like the orange color cheap o brand filters.
I want my vehicle to last, so I purchase better quality products. Don’t skimp on quality when it comes a filter. I currently have 5,000 miles on this filter I’ll update when I change my oil at 8500 miles and cut this filter open so far I have been pleased
