After their father dies, four brothers make a pact to find love and not reveal their secret to their new brides—that they are werewolves.

Selina may be a human, but she is willing to enter marriage with a man she hardly knows for the safety he affords. Both of them have secrets that could endanger them, but might growing feelings and attraction be what complicates matters most of all?

This was a good story.I enjoyed reading Alastair's and Salina's story. Great story line. He,s a werewolf, and a Duke he must marry to save his pack. Salina is his choice for a wife.
This is a good story, my only disappointment was ,she isn't a werewolf, and I feel it would of been more interesting if she had been.
Thank you ♥️

This book could be exceptionally good. The plot is fairly unique and fast moving. The characters are very interesting and well formed. However there are many errors. Apparently the author thought that if the computer decided there were no errors, then it must be so and didn’t use beta readers. Wrong choice.

Firstly, I don't understand how, with an editor and proofreaders (plural), a book can end up with so many errors. Words left out, incorrect words, sentences that make no sense, etc. Poor quality.
I enjoy regency romance. This was very different. Regency with a other-worldly twist. I don't think the author intended it as a fairytale retelling, but this reminded me of beauty and the beast. A very different rendering of it mind you; with Alistair and his brothers being werewolves! I like fairytale retellings, but this is not the kind of stuff I usually read. However, the premise sounded intriguing so I thought I give it a try. It is clean: no blasphemy, bad language or sex and can be read as a standalone. There is violence, though not graphic.
I do disagree with the author on her supposition that witches are supernatural beings. They are not! They are merely humans messing with things that they should not be messing with!
Looking through the titles of this authors books, most of it is not stuff I want to read. Much of it borders on being unhealthy for your spiritual well-being imo. So unfortunately I cannot recommend her books.

I loved this family. They have many problems and enemies but must marry to increase their pack of four to survive. How can they find their mates if they can't let her know what they are???

I enjoyed this book and read it quickly! The plot was interesting and the characters were good to read about. I just wish that there was more to read! I guess I need to get the next book in the series!

I’m usually very accommodating to new to me authors and will read the books I’ve ordered completely through even if I don’t like them. I desperately wanted to like this book. I love shifter books, I love regency books, this should have been a perfect fit. I couldn’t even read past chapter 4. Tons of proofreading errors, the writing felt forced, characters weren’t real. First person is hard to write a romance in and get it right. Should have chosen a different voice. All the dialog felt so uncomfortable and as if the main character has a stick up his butt. I’ve been generous with my stars because it could have been so much better.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and how they meet, how he woos her, how she proposes, how his small pack fights off a much larger pack, how they find love in the end.

When the heart knows… the heart knows. And it was just that way for Allister for Selina. His fierce need to protect and care for her brought him to know he loves her. But when she finds out his truth… she is torn with doubt and anger. She then finds and reads the letters he has written but not mailed and realizes she loves him as well. Forgiveness and acceptance are forthcoming.

Enjoyed reading the story of them fulfilling the promise they made to their father.
Quite a few typos which should have been picked up by proofreading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good premise, too many errors.

Good premise, and I enjoyed the storylines for the 4 book series, BUT - please, please get a different proofreader! The last 2 books especially- lots of spelling mistakes, wrong word’s instead ( like when it should have been look), and several times the wrong character names are used. I did enjoy them, but nearly gave up, as the errors just drove me nuts! Normally I would look up other books by an author- but I don’t think that I will, as I can’t face all the mistakes. 😞
