Where's Molly by HD CarltonI just want to say HOLYYYY!!! I am completely obsessed with Molly and CageMolly has had a terrible home life! Having to be the adult in her family and take care of her own family while having parents. She is forced to work, pay for everything! She went to get something for her dad and next thing she knows is she is getting a cloth shoved over her mouth.What Molly had to endure after is actually so horrible no one should have to go through any of that! My heart was breaking for her reading it. A few parts I was like omg WTF did I just read.I loved the push and pull between Cage and Molly. The way they had feelings for each other that never went away just had me dying because even though she was trying to ignore him and push him away she wanted him at the same time. I can't get over them and there banter. I loved how the chapters would go back and forth to the past and the present. It really made you feel like you were getting the full feeling of everything that was happening in the book.I went through so many emotions while reading this! But I would not change anything because I had such an experience while reading it! At the end I was crying my eyes out 😭

This was an emotional rollercoaster.

💭 Where’s Molly is a spin-off of the Cat & Mouse duet. Molly was first introduced in Hunting Adeline when Adeline was kidnapped and taken to Francesca’s house while awaiting being sold into the slave trade. Adeline found Molly’s diary under a loose floorboard, and it quickly became the only thing that kept her alive and gave her hope. In a sense, Molly saved her life.
The contents of this book gave us everything we could have wanted. (Really!). The entire novella was written so well that it was impossible to put down. So much thought went into the timeline of this book. In under 200 pages HD managed to give us 15 years worth of Molly’s life, and it was a roller coaster. Molly is by far one of the strongest woman, next to Adeline. When most would fall and crumble she kept going all for the love of her sister.
Then enters Cage who is quite possibly perfect for Molly. Their chemistry was electric, but built over time. Cage’s respect for Molly and her situation was written with the upmost care. “Thank you for showing me how to enjoy something I never thought I’d enjoy. For respecting my body. And for giving me something to hold on to…”
The pig farm. This was absolute brilliance. My true crime heart was so happy. It was giving Dexter vibes. 🖤 While a normal person would shriek at the idea of a pig farm where human remains are being fed to pigs…. HD managed to make it lighthearted with plenty of dark humor, banter, and smut. The pigs names being named after seasonings had me rolling.
The spice while it was few and far between was hot hot hot in true HD fashion!
The way this novella ended has me hopeful we will not be seeing the end of Molly in these pages. I think her story, and Cages, is just beginning and that makes my heart so happy.
I tried so hard not to give spoilers! I can’t wait for everyone to read this so I can jump up and down with you! What a fantastic read! No pressure Hailey, but I can’t WAIT for Sibby’s duet now!
