Where's Molly Kindle Edition
“Molly Devereaux has been missing for more than two weeks, and police are still searching for the girl who seemed to vanish out of thin air. The world still wants to know... Where's Molly?”
In my dreams, I never escaped the Oregon woods.
Life after death isn't easy to accept, especially when I still feel like a ghost.
Now, I live deep in the mountains of Montana—the paradigm of beauty. But they are also the home of horrors.
Horrors that I only unleash at night.
When my pigs are allowed to feast.
It is strongly recommended to read Haunting Adeline and Hunting Adeline before reading Where's Molly.

Review
Carlton is a master at interweaving vulnerability, strength, and darkness into her characters and the world they live in, leaving nothing behind but a beautiful and sad ache in your heart. -Dylan Page
Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to mourn the loss of my sanity, heart, and the increasingly large therapy bill that will be coming after finishing Where's Molly by H.D. Carlton. -Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, Avelyn Paige
A delightfully macabre symphony of horrors. Carlton knows just how to weave the heart of a story until it becomes entangled with our own. Cage and Molly are unlike any other couple in her universe, their story will infiltrate through the cracks in your mind and take home there permanently. -Santana Knox
Where's Molly felt like coming home with being back in the C&M world. That's not to say this book is sunshine's & rainbows, because let's be real...it's a H.D. Carlton book. However, I was really blown away by the intricate balance that was struck between darkness, vulnerability, and passion in this story. It takes a very talented author and some wonderful characters to embed themselves in my heart the way Molly and Cage have. -USA Today Bestselling Author, R.L. Caulder
Where's Molly? is a story about love, trust, care, healing, and partnership. H.D. Carlton has delivered another thrilling romance that had me struggling to put down with such a suspenseful plot. -Lexi Bissen

Honestly my only issue is that the story as a whole just felt a little rushed and lacking depth. And I understand this is a short story but with how well written the characters are and how much fans of this series are invested in their world, this story left me feeling unfulfilled. Technically I can't fault anything in this book because it was really good, but I also can't give it 5 stars because it just wasn't there for me.

This was an emotional rollercoaster.

“For what it’s worth, I would never hurt you. I promise not to lay a finger on you.” There’s a pause, and I hear the unspoken words he won’t give voice to.
Unless you ask me to.”
💭 Where’s Molly is a spin-off of the Cat & Mouse duet. Molly was first introduced in Hunting Adeline when Adeline was kidnapped and taken to Francesca’s house while awaiting being sold into the slave trade. Adeline found Molly’s diary under a loose floorboard, and it quickly became the only thing that kept her alive and gave her hope. In a sense, Molly saved her life.
The contents of this book gave us everything we could have wanted. (Really!). The entire novella was written so well that it was impossible to put down. So much thought went into the timeline of this book. In under 200 pages HD managed to give us 15 years worth of Molly’s life, and it was a roller coaster. Molly is by far one of the strongest woman, next to Adeline. When most would fall and crumble she kept going all for the love of her sister.
Then enters Cage who is quite possibly perfect for Molly. Their chemistry was electric, but built over time. Cage’s respect for Molly and her situation was written with the upmost care. “Thank you for showing me how to enjoy something I never thought I’d enjoy. For respecting my body. And for giving me something to hold on to…”
The pig farm. This was absolute brilliance. My true crime heart was so happy. It was giving Dexter vibes. 🖤 While a normal person would shriek at the idea of a pig farm where human remains are being fed to pigs…. HD managed to make it lighthearted with plenty of dark humor, banter, and smut. The pigs names being named after seasonings had me rolling.
The spice while it was few and far between was hot hot hot in true HD fashion!
The way this novella ended has me hopeful we will not be seeing the end of Molly in these pages. I think her story, and Cages, is just beginning and that makes my heart so happy.
I tried so hard not to give spoilers! I can’t wait for everyone to read this so I can jump up and down with you! What a fantastic read! No pressure Hailey, but I can’t WAIT for Sibby’s duet now!

You do need to read the Cat and Mouse Duet to understand/appreciate Molly and the world she lives in.
We first hear of Molly from Adeline’s time within the sinister clutches of Francesca and Rocco. Addie finds a journal in the floorboards with entries written by a mystery woman named Molly. The journal provided comfort during a very dark chapter of Addie’s imprisonment. It’s very implied that Molly made it out but the question is - Where is Molly?
Well in this book - we get those answers. We get her backstory and current life. A blend of her past and present is given throughout the book. Both stories were woven together so well.
To put it simply - Molly disappears and a one night fling with the man (Cage) that helped her disappear. Cage hasn’t been able to get her out of his head since that night either.
So, 5 years later: Cage is busy doing the usual by helping dispose of the worst of the worst - this leads him to a pig farmer hired by an entity known as ’Legion’. Legion is kind of like Zade - out to get the baddies.
Who is this lovely pig farmer hacking away bits and pieces to feed to her lovely pigs - none other than the woman he spent one incredible evening with. Molly. Molly has come back for reasons- one is to do her part in getting rid of the type of people that hurt her and many others like her.
This book is very sweet for a dark romance. I love Molly and Cage together so much. I LOVED the ending.
Overall this book is more about Molly finding happiness and moving forward from the horrors that she endured. We get to watch Cage bulldoze through her walls and I love that for her. Absolutely loved the book. Spice was great as always.

I needed it and it arrived perfect
I love the background story of Molly and what she’s been through. For a H.D. Carlton book it’s not that spicy what you expected but it’s definitely a good read!
