Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent

Liqud Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellents

Deer and rabbits are cute until the crunching starts. These plant-munching pests have a voracious appetite for your lawn and landscape, making them a major nuisance as they eat their way through your backyard.

Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellents create an invisible barrier to ward off these bothersome critters. Apply these scent-deterrent formulas year-round to hit them in the nose so they don’t come back.

Forms

How does Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent work?

Animals instinctively stay away from certain smells and tastes. Urine from mammal predators, meat protein, egg solids and garlic all possess sulfur-containing compounds that trigger prey-response behaviors. Putrescent egg solids and garlic, both ingredients in Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellents, are highly effective in deterring these animals before they even browse treated vegetation.

How to apply

Applying Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellents

It’s important to apply Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent on dry vegetation – treating wet leaves or grass or treating within several hours of rain could cause the repellent to become diluted and affect its performance.

After treating with a liquid formulation, allow enough time for your treatment to dry before it rains in order for it to adhere to the vegetation. Drying time depends on your location and the time of year – in general, give this product 5 to 6 hours to dry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent in the winter?

A: Deer and rabbits forage year-round; you can apply these products any time as long as temperatures are above freezing. Applying below freezing will prevent the liquid formulas from adhering to the plants. Also avoid applying when there’s snow on the ground; snow can dilute the repellent and affect its performance.

Q: I can’t smell my repellent anymore – is it still working?

A: When using Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent products, you may notice an odor. Once your repellent dries, the scent will no longer be noticeable to humans but will still be very pungent to the animals it’s designed to repel. Reapply at the intervals listed on the product label.

Q: Do I have to rotate Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent with other repellent products?

A: No, the animals’ natural aversion to the scent of these active ingredients will never diminish, so there’s no need to use it in conjunction with any other repellent products.

Product Description

Don’t let animals have the pick of the garden before you can. Deer, rabbits, moles and other four-legged pests enjoy your lawn and landscape as much as you do – hit them in the nose so they won’t come back. Liquid Fence animal repellents use scent- and taste-deterring formulas that won’t harm animals or plants when used as directed. Invisible barrier. Clear results. Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent Granular2 repels deer and rabbits before they feed! This granular formula repels deer and rabbits from low-growing flower beds, landscaped ornamental gardens, ground cover and lawns. The repellent works on scent, so deer and rabbits don’t have to take a bite to be repelled. It is harmless to plants and animals when used and stored as directed, and can be applied year-round. The formula is rain resistant. Animals’ natural aversion to this scent will never diminish – this product does not have to be rotated with other repellent brands. Reapply every 3 to 4 weeks. Reapplication is recommended after excessive rainfall. In areas where feeding pressure from deer and rabbits is intense, additional and/or more liberal applications may be needed.

Product seems to work but packaging is horrible!

Product seems to work but packaging is horrible!
This product is marketed to repel deer and rabbits. It smells really horrible. It seems to work. The packaging is just terrible. As the pics show, my last shipment was in the same box as food and about 1/4 cup of the powder had spread all through the box. The cookies smelled like synthetic predator urine. Amazon did refund me the cookie price but if grocery store baggers know to not put chemicals and food in the same bag, Amazon warehouse personnel should be instucted to do the same.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Product Needs More Attention Re Packaging
Reviewed in Australia on December 16, 2022
The product works for Australian rabbits which we are happy with. Purchased more only to find when opened the parcel that the items inside had been opened and not resealed correctly or they just popped off in transit. Most of one container has spilled out into the box which raised a few eyebrows in the local post office. After opening checked the supposedly sealed containers and the lids simply fell off with the inner opening seal in the lid area … should still have been sealed on the top of the container. For safe packaging the containers should have been in at least a plastic bag to ensure should this happen that the contents do not spill out. Otherwise the product works as a general deterrent to rabbits and as we have many birds in our garden can attest that the product does not appear to harm or deter them. I would like to hear from the seller regarding their packaging process to ascertain if it was their slackness upon dispatch packaging or Amazon Au or Australia Post in Botany who caused the contents to spill in the parcel box.

3.0 out of 5 stars Seems to work but incredibly expensive
Reviewed in Australia on January 21, 2023
Seems to be effective in discouraging deer and rabbits but is expensive. I bought the 5lb granules for AUD$40 before Christmas and now just 4 weeks later it's AUD$63!!!!! It doesn't go very far and the large container is literally half empty which seems deceptive. So the product is OK but the ongoing cost is unacceptable. I've since bought a keg of Bunny Bait for less $ and met a local hunter who will solve the feral deer problem for free.
