This Power Window Motor replaced my Kwikee Class A Motorhome Retractable Step motor.. My steps are now working perfectly.. Lay this motor side by side with your old motor they are a match. Gear and size of motor, holes, color code of wires all match.. Saying this? You will have to drill out the holes to enlarge them to fit the mounting bolts on your kwikee. Have sharp drill no problem for you are drilling through aluminum.. Save the pig tail electrical connector on the old motor and splice it on the new one and your are good.. It's an easy affordable fix.

I bought this for the power retractable step on my motor home. It looks almost exactly like the original, and works just as well. The original manufacturer wanted over $100 for a replacement motor! Since I read online in the motor home forums that the motor is simply a Ford Taurus or Mercury Grand Marquis motor, I matched mine up to what the manufacturers photos showed and ordered one. It fit perfectly, and my power step goes in and out smoothly and quietly. Actually, a little quieter than with the original motor! My only complaint is that I could not find one of these motors that was made in the USA, they are all Chinese, so who knows how long it will last. The original was 12 years old.

I used this to replace my 1992 Ford F150 window motors. I had to do the left and right sides and it didn't take long at all. I had to drill out 1 hole in the truck door to access one of the screws to the old motor, but other than that it was very simple. Worked like a charm.

I looked at dc motors to replace the motor on my motor home steps, the prices were as high as $204.00 to as low $32.00 I paid for this motor. I had to cut the connector off the old motor to replace the one that came with the unit. I also had to tap new threads by using the screws that came off the old motor. My step is a series 42 Kwikee and the new motor works great, thank goodness the control box was still good. I had service centers tell me that a new kit would cost me $300.00 plus labor, what rip off this rv service business is. It seems every body is trying to take advantage of people with limited knowledge, this is what makes the internet so great. I purchased a car window motor for $30.00+ dollars that is the same as all the other over priced motors out there.

Update: April 2020 - After installing the motor, I have had some intermittent problems with the RV steps. I thought it might be the motor itself, but swapped it out for another motor with same results. What I did see was that the spring around the seal had emerged out of the seal, so the seal, and unit could be compromised. I don't expect much support on this as I had to change the plug, drilled out holes....my bad on those.
Based on the seal issue, I have downgraded the stars, probably a one time thing but thought I should share.
This seems like a pretty powerful, well made unit and its much quieter than the old one. This is the second step motor I have had to replace. They are all made the same so I figure if I get 10 years out of it I will be happy.
I knew I would have to replace the pigtail, no big deal. What I missed was that the mount holes diameter is smaller on this unit than the bolt diameter. Not a big problem, just had to drill out the mount holes. I consider that my bad so thats why I wont ding the unit for that. Way cheaper than buying one from the RV dealer.
