Once Upon A Pack (Royalverse Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,767 ratings

Once upon a time?

Um, no. Because that’s how fairytales start and Ivy Addison is no princess. In fact, she’s very happy being an absolute nobody.
She doesn’t have glass slippers or a trust fund or “graces”—and she’s pretty sure she doesn't need rescuing. She also most
definitely isn’t overworked as the housekeeper for a rowdy pack of royals... and she certainly has no feelings for any of them.

Well, aside from Asher, the Crown Prince and star of all her mortifying dreams. Or Sebastian, the oh-so-charming baron who always has a smile just for her. And Dair, the dangerous duke with all sorts of bad ideas in his eyes.
Turns out, there’s a reason she can’t stay away.
But when these famously eligible men find out their maid is their mate

Can they convince Ivy to believe in happily ever after?

I almost didn’t…the first part of this book was hard to take. It wasn’t the bullying, which they definitely groveled, it was the alpha’s descriptions of sex with other people. I know it’s not cheating, but it was just unnecessary to the storyline. The same wasn’t applied to Ivy…so wtf? It’s all explained and I get some of it though I don’t think that’s the strongest message the author intended, but for me, it stands out the most.I honestly didn’t realize that this was a fairytale retelling until about 3/4 of the way through. And yes, I did get through the first part and I am glad I did. I got the beautiful story that I have come to expect from the author. Told from all POV. Each of her alpha’s had unique pasts and the author spent time on each one to give the reader a great understanding of each. I would definitely recommend and reread this book again.

For me, after finding Ari Wright with her MVP omegaverse series, preordering and immediately binge reading the new Royalverse “Once Upon A Pack” was an automatic inner yes response. This first story is a fun, engaging adventure of fairytale ambience. I laughed and swooned, and loved the escape of mild drama, low angst, and vibrantly beautiful world building. The journey of pack growth and happy-ever-after is not simple, but the realistic personal concerns and trauma are handled with kindness and empathy. I thoroughly adore Ari Wright’s omegaverse style in general, because she brings the heat and possessive sweetness that are typical of the genre but leaves out the heavy handed angst that can be overwhelming if not written with precision. This romance is more cozy than her MVP series; and I love how we meet a wide range of new characters (both human and animal). Hopefully we see some crossover in this Royalverse as the series continues, and there could not be a better beginning than this “Once Upon A Pack”!

Ari’s omegaverse books are just too cute and sweet. This was a take on Cinderella just with three handsome princes. Ivy had a rough life but made friends with Asher early on, despite him being a prince.

Once we meet up with them again Asher has formed a pack with Dair and Sebastian. I liked that they all wanted her as soon as they recognized her as their omega. Some of Ari’s books have one of the alpha’s being reluctant but that wasn’t the case here. Just Dair feeling bad about his previous behavior but it didn’t last too long. As always the spicy scenes are great and it was a wonderful HEA.

    No third act break up

    Low angst

I absolutely LOVED this book. Everything about it sucked me in and I just devoured the book.

The fairytale reimagining was fun, I loved the similarities and the things that were changed. And the little Easter eggs and also hints of things to come!

The characters were all likeable and I fell in love with them. Each of the men had their own personalities, and I felt like they all got equal attention, even with Asher having a past with Ivy. I hate uneven why chooses and I did not get that in this story.

Ivy was kind and sweet and adorable. I liked her character and watching her develop and fall for each MMC.

The spice was delicious! Ugh. SO GOOD. So many men coming in their pants and I ATE IT UP.

I liked that there was no third act breakup, and that it is minimal drama. The story was just super cute and sweet, and swoony!

I can already tell this series is gonna be a top series for me just like Ari's MVP series. And now I'm gonna be drooling waiting for the next one!

A new favorite omegaverse for me, and l've read a lot!
Fairytale retelling but add in an omega and a pack of Royal alphas?! DEVOURED. I cannot even put into words how cute this book was. Every part of it was amazing and the Cinderella aspects of it were perfect. Omega awakening, mates, omega befriending the animals, SWOOONY alphas who will do anything for her. Overall just a happy swoony book, very little tension or stress and the perfect fun read. Also the cover is STUNNING and the chapter art is BEAUTIFUL. Overall this omegaverse is just perfect, thanks for listening.

This was adorable! Ivy is my favorite. She is just so sweet and kind and good. It's easy to see why the Alphas all adore her. They were all a bit dense but they got there and once they did wow! If you want a sweet story with a HEA this is for you.

I was soooo excited for Ari Wright to finally dip her toes in the fairytale retellings/omegaverse world, but it didn’t really hit the mark for me. I loved the Cinderella analogies, the environment and the characters. But I was a bored. The relationship happened way to fast, wished it was more of a slowburn, also I wanted something big to happen to drive them apart (the third act misunderstanding) but it was just not it. Also, could cut a couple of the spice scenes, that also got boring after a while 😅 But I do still like Wright’s writing so it’s still a 3 star!

I adored this book! It’s bringing the sweetest vibes, the best why choose/OV steam, all the romantic vibes and settings and has a hurt/comfort storyline that will tug at your heart strings.
Ivy is the sweetest omega, a maid for the royal pack who’s gone most of her life unnoticed and once her suppressed omega designation comes to light our three royal alphas have some serious groveling and making up to do. They’ve always felt a pull to the beautiful but shy maid and now that Ivy is front and center in their lives they’ll be turning back until they make her their omega!
I absolutely loved this story, it’s super sweet, perfectly spicy and there’s no way you’re not falling head over heels for all these characters!

This author can not do anything but write 5 star books imo. This was a sweet, beautiful story and I loved every word. Ash, Bast and Dair are such great MMC and Ivy is the sweetest FMC with a quiet strength you get to see developed throughout the story. 5/5 ⭐️ 4/5 🌶

First and foremost. The art at the start of each chapter, and at the end of some, is so dang CUTE!! And the group chat names were hilarious.

I adored this book! It had little bits of everything I love but almost in micro doses. Some mystery, a heroine in danger, hurt/comfort, twists, cute as heck animals, the sweetest FMC who deserves the world, 2 broody men and one golden retriever, a whole lot of love, grovelling and redemption, and SPICE!

Loved the Cinderella aspects of the book. The fairy godmother part had me cackling.

I can’t wait to read this one again! Will probably be one of my new comfort reads.

This is a fantastic retelling of Cinderella, but with a twist—this princess doesn’t have one prince, but three. Or rather, a prince, a baron, and a duke. Ari’s take on the omegaverse is irresistibly charming, sweet, and delightfully spicy. I loved Ivy's evolution, from a supposed beta to someone who must accept and embrace her true identity as an omega, and how this transformation shapes her life. The relationship between the boys and Ivy develops quickly, and as the story unfolds, we get glimpses into each of their personalities.
We witness Ivy’s growth as she learns to navigate her role as a "princess," but also how Ash, Bast, and Dair encourage her to stay true to herself, which not only helps her flourish but also brings the pack closer together.
If you love a good Cinderella story, this one will definitely be a treat.

Wow, I don’t even know where to start with this review. I love all of Ari’s books, all of her characters but Once Upon A Pack? MY FAVOURITE.

I loved Ivy so much, even after all the setbacks, the heartache and the loneliness in her life? She was still the sweetest and strongest. Her love for animals?! Omg 🥹

Ash, Bast and Dair?! I loved the three of them so much, all such different MMC’s and all loved Ivy in their own ways. The perfect pack. Perfectly imperfect.

Dair? If I had a favourite it would be the misunderstood “bad” boy who never really knew love.

The ANGST. The GROVELLING. The LOVE.

This book, this story and these characters?! The best Ari has ever written. I was on the edge of my seat, I was giggling and kicking my legs over so many parts in this story. I was fuming, I was tearing up. Every emotion possible was had during this book but most of all AWE and happiness.

Don’t hold back, don’t just add this to your TBR. Read it, right now. You won’t be disappointed. I think this is my top read of 2025 and it will be hard to move from that spot.
