Filled with much knowledge and I learned so much. It was also very enjoyable to read. Hopefully, it will be available to listen to on Audible. There are some websites and applications that no longer work such as the recommended calculator. Maybe, the author will eventually update this book to include a working calculator? I look forward to reading and listening to more content by this author. Thank you for creating I enjoyed and learned so much.

I have been writing most of my life and specialize in covering combat sports (primarily Boxing). While I have been published both in online and print publications through the years, I have struggled to consistently earn for my work, despite devoting my life to it.

Although I am a Boxing lifer as I like to tell people, several experiences through the years ranging from not getting paid for my work, (Consistently have been told that getting exposure is more valuable than money by people I have done work for), and having content I own stolen from me for a period of time, soured me on doing freelance work. For the last several years, I've been running my own outlet, and while I do enjoy it, earning money still remains a struggle for me even after a lifetime of writing.

As I am looking to potentially re-enter the freelance realm periodically while I continue running my own thing, I picked up this book. I will freely admit that I am somewhat ignorant when it comes to SEO content and seeing as I am also lacking knowledge about freelance job boards (Something I was unaware of when I started as a kid in the mid-90's), I was hoping this book could point me in the right direction so at least there is a possibility that if I did work for an outside outlet again, that I wouldn't be fed that dreaded line about the benefits of "Exposure" versus the ability to earn a consistent income from my work.

Unfortunately, the author does not explore the topic of freelance job boards and how not to be scammed by clients, but she does an excellent job of explaining the various elements of SEO content and keywords, which I will hopefully be able to put to use with the content I create for my outlet. She also goes into detail about some of the various writing tools and software that are available, some of which I did not know about. I was trained long ago on Microsoft Word so that's been the software I have used virtually my entire career, but I did appreciate the information on the programs Google in particular offers.

I had relatives years ago telling me how they enjoyed Google Docs for their school assignments, but I never tried it citing my being trained on MS Word as my reason. I have tried different programs in the past, in particular a program called word perfect, but it just didn't have the ease of use or the compatibility requirements when I would send material off to editors that would make switching from MS Word viable.

In any case, I enjoyed reading this book and I recommend it for anyone that wants to learn about SEO content and content marketing.

This book is written in a very organized way with steps to follow, expressed in a simple and easy to understand way for those of us who want to experiment and start writing content, the author says it all in a very didactic way, exposing examples of what is wrong and since it must be done correctly, it also teaches about SEO, writing style, it really makes you lose your fear and the ideas are fixed very well and then put into practice, what I like the most is that it inspires us and says that everyone we can achieve it with study, perseverance and a lot of practice, very good learning guide.

The cover of the book may seem dull looking but the insights and knowlege of the author are substantial. The book does not pretend to be a comprehensive resource but provides an overview. Perhaps someday some links to website's which accept new contributors and also pay some amount will be provided .The name however I feel should have been the first steps in content writing ,confessions of a stay at home mom ; )

This was one of the easiest and quickest non fiction read I've ever had. Joice knows how to turn something as dry as content writing into something engaging to read. Not only that, she will give you concrete steps to improve your writing skills and tips on how to get started if you will pursue it as a career.
The personal experiences are very down to earth, achievable, no nonsense career advice for anyone who wanted to earn a living. I highly recommend you get onto some of Joice's tips as soon as possible in your career. Will recommend this book to people I know will benefit from it.

This is a well-written book written by Joice Carrera. The content far outweighs the cost of book which she is almost offering for free and shows how good hearted she is. It's a work of love and passion, as the book is interesting even though it is a non-fiction, the contents are arranged systematically. What I loved the most about the book is the encouragement she provides to people who don't have any experience in writing.
