This product is awesome. Our Tiger hot water dispenser stopped pouring out hot water from the dispenser, but the motor was still running. DIY videos online shared by other users had them disassembling the hot water dispenser. I opted for the video made by the manufacturer and their video showed them using Citric Acid to do a deep clean on the machine to dissolve the hard water mineral buildup inside the unit. I'm glad I chose to do their suggestion because it worked for us. Our Tiger hot water dispenser is working again and the hard water mineral buildup inside the unit was gone. Glad we didn't have to disassemble or even throw our Tiger hot water dispenser away. Saved us lots of money. I'm very happy with this product. Would recommend. It's also good as a toilet water reservoir cleaner.

The product is good. But 2 things. 1, do NOT use much! Depending on how you are using the product, you can use "up to" 1/4 tsp per serving. It truly does enhance the flavor of pretty much anything you cook, bake or use for consuming.
I haven't tried it in laundry or anything. I purchased it to get that "BAM" flavor with anything that has lemon in the recipe. It works !
I've used it in smoothies and even cooking chicken or stir-fry. But you really, really need to use a small amount. That 1 bag could easily last you a year, depending on how often you use it. I use it quite often and can see very little has been used. It will easily last me 2 years plus.
The second thing you need to be careful with is the fact that you MUST dissolve it first! I usually dissolve what I'm going to use in a tablespoon of lemon juice. I may not dissolve quickly in just water. So if you are using it in something, make sure to dissolve it first. If you cook with it and don't dissolve it first, you'll not only crunch on the granules, but you'll "taste" the granules and they are quite potent - not a good flavor on its own. Imagine taking a bite out of a fresh lemon....

There are many uses for this product but i used it to clean years of hard water scum off my shower head. I put several tablespoons w/water into a small bucket with the shower head completely covered. I had forgotten about it for a couple hours. When i remembered and looked at it, it looked brand new!!! I did have to use a soft cloth to remove what was left (it was softened and easily wiped off). After a full rinse of it afterward, once installed, my shower head works literally like brand new!! I'll be using this to clean my washing machine as well since I'm not a fan of chemicals and read reviews about affresh causing serious long term skin ailments. This will also be great in making some bath bombs. Great product!!

Ps. Though this item was shipped in an inadequate amazon bag, the product bag itself did not break open like others had happen with their order.

We have very hard water in our city and even with a whole home water softener in our house our appliances still need fairly regular cleaning to deal with the scale build-up. We had been using vinegar up until now, but decided to try citric acid. In my opinion, this does a far better job than the vinegar did and uses very little to get all the scale out of our coffee makers, kettle, etc. I'll buy an even bigger bag next time and it should last a very long time. I use less than most online websites recommend for cleaning. I did some trial and error to see how little I could use and still achieve a spotless cleaning - there's no point in wasting it.

I fell for Citric Acid a few months ago, looking for the magic ingredient for my daughter's soap making projects. It was used to stabilize the pH of soaps, and the result is stunning. The soaps are soft, smooth, and free from impurities. On the other hand, a small downside is that you shouldn't overuse it otherwise it becomes a little too acidic.

In terms of quality, we are at the top level. The acid is fine, lump-free and dissolves like a dream. And in terms of performance, let's say it transforms a basic recipe into luxury soap.

Tip from my little pro: start small. A little acid. And store it dry to avoid wet mishaps. Be creative! Citric acid isn't just for soaps. Think homemade cleaners, bath bombs, and even to add a zest to your recipes!
