I have two great nieces that live in another state. To stay connected we face time and chat regularly. I buy a seasonal book, record myself reading it, and send the book and video to them. As they’re not yet reading age, they love to read along with me and look at the pictures.
I found Little Red Sleigh: A Heartwarming Christmas Book For Children (Little Heroes, Big Hearts) such a great story this year. It’s colorful, not too long, and written so sweetly. The girls loved it and have “read” it with my video many times. The Little Red Sleigh was a great way for us to stay connected.

There are a couple spots of improper grammar/word usage which kind of trips me up as I'm reading it, but I don't mind so much. Like some other reviewers mention, it's very wordy. There are a couple spots of improper grammar/word usage which kind of trips me up as I'm reading it, but I don't mind so much. It's still going to be a great addition to my sons christmas book collection :)
