Okay, I used my DeWalt 18volt screwdrivers and circular saws every day of my working life for twenty years. Seriously used these tools and batteries and I never had a problem with them. I probably recharged my four batteries a thousand times and never had to replace one. DeWalt makes a magnificent product, IMHO.
But then I retire, I use my tools only irregularly and sparingly, and of course the batteries are old and worn out. So now a couple have failed and I wanted to replace them.
STICKER SHOCK!
DeWalt wants $100+ for a genuine DeWalt battery. I KNOW it’s a solid product, but I hardly ever use my battery tools at all anymore. Is that infrequent use worth $250 for new batteries?
I decided it wasn’t, and for less than $50 I got these two off-brand replacements. Well, so far (about two months into it) I’m entirely happy with my decision to go cheap.
The batteries fit the tools.
They fit my chargers.
They provide adequate power output.
They charge quickly.
The charges last a long time.

I couldn’t ask for better performance from these batteries … so far.

The caveats:
I’m not pushing these batteries the way I did when I earned my living with them. So I can’t promise Joe Carpenter that he’ll be as pleased with them as he’d be with the $100 alternative.
But I’m not afraid to tell Joe Household Guy that I think he’d be more than satisfied with this 2 for $50 alternative.

Like others, I have an 18V DeWalt drill that needed replacement batteries and didn't want to pay $190.00 for two "DeWalt brand name" batteries (I can remember about 3 years ago buying two replacement DeWalt 18V batteries at Lowe's for $79.95 the pair). So I began reading reviews and looking around for alternatives.

I use my drill occasionally, so absolute Max mAh was not quite as big a consideration as price. These batteries are rated at 3.6 mAh. For some reason, DeWalt (apparently) does not include the mAh rating in their 18v battery specs (at least, I was unable to find any reference to mAh in their specs).

I have also seen a number of battery reviews on YouTube where the testers say to be skeptical about the advertised mAh of after market Chinese-made replacement batteries because many simply do not deliver their advertised mAh rating. These Forrat batteries are also lighter (in weight) than the originals.

Whatever the case, I was pleasantly surprised by how long these batteries lasted per charge. They last *about* as long as my original DeWalt batteries with moderate use.

A down-side is, they do NOT have the torque (twisting force) of the original batteries. I can grip the chuck and actually hold it still (with a little effort). The original batteries burned my hand when I tried that. So if you are drilling through dense/tough material or have a lengthy job, they will likely not deliver the equivalent power/use time of the original DeWalt batteries (but they are also just 1/5 of the price).

However, for the price, I would recommend them for those (like me) who use occasionally their drill for odd jobs around the house (not recommended for commercial or professional users).

My DeWalt 18V setup is a bit long in the tooth these days, having been supplanted by the 20V system, but the tools are still in great shape, so I still need batteries for them. DeWalt wanted an insane amount of money for a single battery, and they're getting harder to find in stock, as I suspect they're trying to 'encourage' people to move to newer tools. But these batteries work just fine. They charge on my charger. They last a decent time of use. The yellow isn't a match for the DeWalt colour, but it's certainly easy to spot if I put it down somewhere. Overall, pleased with this purchase.

I bought these in June of 2022. Quick delivery, as promised. These batteries fit perfect, fit my Dewalt charger perfect, they charged up great, but that’s where the good ends. The charge only lasts about ten minutes on a driver, but not with continuous use, much less than that if I’m using the driver continuously. If I am using one of the saws I’m lucky to get through two to three 2x4’s before it needs to be recharged. Both batteries are the same. Like I said “you get what you pay for” I should have known the price was to good.

I was hesitant to buy these for my Dewalt Drill, having always used only Dewalt batteries in the past but due to financial issues I took a chance and am VERY happy I did. They arrived very quickly and secured well in the dog they came in.
