    This book was completely riveting and spellbinding, it had everything from love, lust to betrayal and death. I was unable to put down this series it was nail-biting. Gemma found her footing and stood tall as a leader but a Queen always needs her King and a king he was. Aiden was everything you could want or need all wrapped in a nice possessive and dangerous package. The man knew she was always going to be his and family be dammed. The spicy in this book was off the charts... electric intense and all consuming. What a way to start my yr off with this fantastic book. S. Mastery you did an amazing job❤❤❤

    This is book two in Aiden and Gemma's story, be sure to read the first book in their story before reading this book. Gemma has always believed that her brother would lead the West Family but her father ends up leaving everything to her and that throws a wrench in the plans Jameson DeSantis has for taking over the city. To further mess with his plans his son, Aiden, is in love with Gemma and that may be what truly has the West's coming out on top!! But Jameson has an ace up his sleeve or does he???

    I have to admit, I didn’t love the first book about Gemma and Aiden. It sort of hooked me, but not really. It was a lot of steam and little plot, but not much action. This book is soooooo much better. There were a couple twists and turns I didn’t quite see coming. But in the end, they got a HEA and had to fight for it a bit. I hate when it’s easy and theirs definitely wasn’t.

    It was hard for me to believe that her father would leave her next in line. 19, no experience, was not taught the role, she asked to be brought home. If her personality was different from the start, then I could believe that.

    I enjoyed the relationships between the characters - good and bad - as well as their individual arcs.

    The chemistry between Aiden and Gemma was 🔥. I didn't like the birth control scene though - that was not cool at all.

    The twists were interesting.

    The ending satisfying.

    There was one loose end that wasn't tied up, but that's life - everything doesn't get resolution or closure. However, I think there's potential for that in the next book of the series. The loose end wasn't that big of a deal given what happened at the end. I'm more curious about how it affects the characters' lives going forward.

    I highly recommend this book, but you need to start with book one to understand the entire story.
