These backs are a great thickness and quality. They are an exact 4x4 inches and I overlooked that most “4x4” coaster tiles are actually more in the realm of 3 3/4”. I would recommend confirming your coaster dimensions unless you don’t mind taking the time to trim the cork. These seem like they would keep their integrity with an exacto knife but I haven’t attempted it yet.

Be warned these were slightly larger than my 4 x 4 tiles from Lowe’s and Home Depot and required cutting down. When I tried to cut them down with scissors they crumbled. Used a sharp exactly knife instead and they cut beautifully. They do work wonderfully with the 4.25 tiles although they are a bit smaller. The tiles have a lip around them but it does not affect the protection these provide and actually improves the overall look according to my customers.
