About the Author
Charles Ardai is the co-founder and editor of Hard Case Crime as well as an award-winning author. His five novels include the Shamus Award-winning Songs of Innocence, which the Washington Post called "an instant classic." In addition to the Shamus, Ardai has received the Edgar Allan Poe, Ellery Queen, and Inkpot Awards. He was a writer and producer for six years on the television series Haven, inspired by Stephen King's first Hard Case Crime novel, The Colorado Kid. King has called him "a true renaissance man" and "a master of the short story." Ardai lives in New York.
Andrew Miller has previously published short stories in the Jacked Anthology from Run Amok Crime, Apocalypse Confidential, Close to the Bone, Pulp Modern, Switchblade, Broadswords and Blasters, and Starlite Pulp Review. He had a novella, Lady Tomahawk, in LA Stories, and his first novel, Namaste Mart Confidential, was released by Run Amok Crime in 2024, and has been shortlisted for Best Independent Novel by Crime Fiction Lover.

Screenwriter Robert J. Binney escaped the Garden State for Atlanta, where he met and married the love of his life. They have also lived in Seattle, Coastal Oregon, Philadelphia, and Sydney before returning to Seattle. He is a former management consultant and titan of industry.
Binney is a member of the Northwest Screenwriters Guild and the Mystery Writers of America. He holds an MBA from Emory University and an MFA from UC Riverside.
His essays have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Atwood Music Magazine, the Lowestoft Chronicle, and MI6 Confidential.
27-year-old American author of the illustrated poetry books Percocet Summer and Citrus Springs, the Lolitay novel(la)s Brat., Imperative Fate, The Politician's Daughter, and the short story collections SlutVomit: An Anthology of SexWork and In Filth It Shall Be Found. Johnson is primarily influenced by Bret Easton Ellis, Anne Rice/Rampling, Asa Akira, Cat Marnell, Lana Del Rey, and Katie Jane Garside. She is co-owner of Outcast Press, an indie publisher specializing in transgressive or dirty realism fiction.
