This was a great book and extremely helpful. The only problem that I had with the book. Was the section where you listen to and watch the videos called the listen guide should have been placed at the beginning of each session not at the end. Other then that, it was, an extremely helpful book. Reading it alone or with in a group setting. Even though it is about the lies women tell themselves, we also had a few men that signed up for the class. Men tell themselves lies as well.

I saw the author, Jennifer Rothschild, on TV and was immediately drawn to her gentle and joy-filled spirit. She talked about the words we sometimes call ourselves (stupid, idiot, dumb, worthless) and how they go into our "thought closet." Every day we dress ourselves with words from this closet. In this eye-opening Scriptural study, Jennifer takes you through a process of identifying how you talk to yourself, Scriptures that will show you God's way of talking about yourself, and how to change those negative thoughts and words. This book hit me "right between the eyes" - I really didn't know the damage I was doing to myself and how much it was not what God wants for us. I am hoping to present this book (you can also buy videos to go with the book) for an on-going Sunday School class. A must read for anyone who puts themselves down!

My only objection is that there is a lot of deep digging into thought patterns you have, negative identity thoughts etc. I personally struggle with these thoughts running through my head a lot and didn't want to dig up more. I wanted to focus ob the healing and change which comes later.
