I'm an artist and purchased this to make my own badges to sell! I also made some with my kids! I was weary because I thought it may be flimsy as it's plastic. But it's incredibly sturdy. You do have to fiddle with it a bit bc the pressure may not be strong enough. I had a few buttons lose the backing but it just took a little adjusting to get the pressure right. Expect to waste a few pieces if your machine needs adjusting. But otherwise, it's fantastic!

MY BUSINESS IS DESTROYED AND IM INJURED

To make a long story short, if you want a long-lasting machine that doesn't randomly break on you, injure you and negatively affect your business PLEASE INVEST IN A PROFESSIONAL MACHINE, NOT THIS ONE.
Long Story: I've been through THREE machines. Each one has its own unique defects and doesn't work properly. I make unique designs and sell them at pop-up events. All of it is now at loss because of these poor quality machines.
First Machine:
The first has a handle about to snap and break because it takes a LOT of force to correctly make a pin. Turns out? EVERY pin that came from this machine has the back plastic piece fall off. I ordered a second thinking well maybe I did something wrong. Had to issue replacements to my customers.
Machine 2:
seems to work okay, I got about 80 pins out of this machine until *SNAP!!!* *Blood everywhere* because THE HANDLE ABRUPTLY SNAPPED WITHOUT WARNING. On the morning of an important sale event. Lost lots of $$$ and my pride that day.
Machine 3: Replacement for No. 2. Seems to work fine, until after hundreds of pins made and sales I start getting messages from customers that the front fell off. Guess what? EVERY PIN MADE IS DEFECTIVE. My once successful business is now suddenly in jeopardy because I mistakenly trusted this company.
LOTS OF $$$ LOST, WASTED TIME AND EFFORT AND NEGATIVELY IMPACTED MY BUSINESS.
SOLUTION: DONT EVER PURCHASE ONE OF THESE CHEAP MACHINES. I instead have ordered a high-quality machine from American Button Machines and have to issue replacements to all of my customers if I want to continue.

I’ve had this machine for about a day and it’s a really great product. You can get the hang of it really fast. I’ve already made many pins and so far I haven’t had any issues. But when my package arrived the 58 mm cutter was broken. I recommend this product but this is a really big setback.

I purchased this button maker to get started in the hobby, as other button makers I researched were several times the price of the Happizza. The multiple button sizes offered with this machine were also an attractive feature.
The product arrived quickly and was mostly well packaged. Take care when opening the circle cutters, as there is an extra razor blade hidden in the styrofoam chip of each. Putting the machine together was simple enough, and the directions were clear.
Unfortunately my experience from here was not so good. Following the instructions, I assembled 4 of the 2.5" buttons to test the process out. I didn't cut the paper designs quite small enough with my cutter machine, so I used the largest circle cutter included with this package. It's not smooth to use, and the cutting mat that's included is quite hard and resistant, unlike the softer texture of a self-healing mat. This made the cutting process more work of a hassle, though the end result was acceptable. I would NOT allow a child to attempt this as it is too easy to slip while cutting.
The lever to press the button materials together takes a bit of hand grip to use. It's not an ergonomic design, and left my wrist aching in the end. The packaging shows young children making buttons with this machine, they must have grip strength like The Incredible Hulk!
The buttons came out with wrinkles in the plastic film and the edge is very uneven, with it not even sealing around some parts. There's a circular groove inside the plastic cup that you sandwich the metal blank + paper design + clear film together in, so the metal blank sits in there perfectly. The pre-cut clear film is also sized perfectly to the diameter of the plastic cup, so something is flawed in the way the machine bends the edges to seal together.
The pin backs included in this kit are all plastic. Some of them are missing the pin, or the pins may have fallen loose into the packaging. Again, the material is sized perfectly for the plastic cup of the machine, but the way everything seals together isn't very good. I've included some photos of my 4th and "best" attempt. Unfortunately this product doesn't work for me and I will be returning it.
