Alternative Use - base for monitor stand light
I have a 1.5" monitor stand for a 2-monitor top-bottom system. I needed a monitor light above the top monitor, but it was just too tall for any split lights on the market. So, I got creative and used this mount on my 1.5" monitor stand and slid the base of the light arm into the slot for a perfect fit. Then secured it with a couple of cable ties and I have superior lighting atop my monitors for a great workstation system.

This mount works well for mounting lights and an antenna on side x sides. The reason for 4 stars is, the included allen screws are too short. I had to drive to Ace, and get longer screws to attach the 2 halves of the mount.

I had to come up with my own solution on how to mount a heavy duty ARB awning on the ol' FJ. I came across these while researching mounting solutions on one of the FJC forums. These couldn't be all bad for the relatively cheap price they were going for. I needed at least three mounts, but they came in packages of 2 so I had to buy 2 separate packages, no big deal.
I received my mounts and they came with 4 different options for mounting to pretty much any size round bar or roof rack. All materials seemed pretty heavy duty and went together with no issues whatsoever. I mounted the 3 I needed for my awning and after much measuring and experimenting I had my 3 mounts made for the awning and 'bam', my awning was up and ready to rock. I unpacked the awning once to see how it was all gonna work out and that's the pic I took on this review. The awning has now been mounted for about 3 weeks and has not moved or come loose. The mounts are holding up fantastic so far and I am sure they will hold up fine in the coming months as well. The biggest test for these mounts will be how they withstand the Arizona heat in the summer.
If there is any issue, I will update this review. For now, I can only say that these are good mounts and really good for the money! I don't think you'll regret buying these for your roof rack needs. I'm thinking about buying a few more for my shovel and axe mounts next.

Mounted these to the winch bumper on the front of the XMR which has 1.5” tubing and they fit perfectly. The fit is tight and they don’t give. I used one of the smallest and one of the mid size bushings and the fit was perfect. Used to mount a couple of pod lights. Mounts are beefy and made well. Would buy again.
