I really like this canopy. Assembly time was about two hours. Could have been one hour with better instructions. The rough side of the roof panels goes up. The center joining strip has a notch that matches up with the relief in the roof panels. Put the outer edge channel pieces on first to hold the roof panels together, then the bows. The support brackets have the welded nuts on the inside. Thread the bolts into the nuts so the thread sticks out to the side. I just saved you an hour!

It’s a good piece. The nut and bolts they provide are a bit of a head scratcher. I’ll probably replace all of the roof panel bolts with stainless with wide washers.

Almost forgot, go easy on tightening everything on the roof panel bolts. They’ll suck through the plastic if you use a power tool (cordless 3/8” ratchet in my case).

First of all please save yourself the time and frustration assembling this thing. The other reviewers are spot on, the instructions are terrible and the amount of time and effort it takes makes you question your sanity. Then to add insult to what we just found to be literal injury, it’s defective and dangerous. Another reviewer mentioned the right bracket breaking and the canopy ending up in his lap, well today my husband had a similar incident expect it ended up on his head. The right bracket snagged in two while he was mowing and the entire thing came down on top of his head. Thank goodness he was in our front yard, in the middle, and was able to stop. There is clearly a design flaw with this product and it’s a safety hazard. The metal is not strong enough to hold the canopy, especially on the right side apparently. We have only used the product 4 or 5 times, it is brand new and garage kept. It is absolutely gorgeous out today with zero wind. There is no reason for this failure other than design and poor materials. I requested a full refund for this waste of our time and money, so please do yourself a favor and pass on this product.

The good and the bad.....

This purchase/ product was for a TC30 New Holland tractor and it fits to the tractor well. It is great value for the money and that's where the good ends. As the majority of the comments said this product is very difficult to assemble. You really need two people to do it unless you are an octopus. The assembly instructions are ROUGH! I can not stress that fact enough. The photos are black and white and confusing, the written instruction does not clarify what the photos show. I ended up chucking them and using photos from the website in order to assemble it. ALL of the hardware is in a single bag and none of it is labeled. I ended up having to go to the hardware store and purchasing some lock nuts that were not in package provided. Assembly and installation took nearly 3 hours with the majority of that being the assembly process. I have it installed, it looks great and does what it is supposed to do however if you have difficulty translating a photo into what you are building or have no building skills you may wish to purchase a different product. I have one final step to finish the process and that is to install the rubber gasket as I need to split the it fist as it didn't come pre-cut for installation. Actual installation will require two people again, unless you're an octopus.

Worked fine once assembled. Assembly was pretty easy, watch a few on-line videos and it makes it pretty easy. The only hard part to assemble was the rubber trim in the front and back. Had to use a rubber mallet to make sure that the rubber was seated. Installing with one person was reasonably easy since my ROPS folds down and I can slip it on that way. Seemed reasonably sturdy when installed. Will it hold up? Don't know. I don't work around a lot of trees so it won't get ripped off with limbs. I'd worry if I did. I gave it 5 stars because for the money, it seems to be the best value for a ROPS sun shade. BTW - the instructions are simple if you watch a video first.

If you are not mechanically iclined, you may want to consider someone helping you when installing this tractor canopy. The instructions are poorly written, at best. The product seems to be of decent quality and I expect it to hold up for the lifefime of the tractor. It was definetely worth the money to me. The dealer wanted $600+ dolloars for a similar quality canopy. I purchased the red canopy and it matches my Yanmar SA 325 Tractor.
