Artistic, beautiful book

I ordered this last year . The beauty of the black and white photographs are memorizing.

When a friend (who was a life-long avid bird watcher) found out he had terminal cancer with only had about six months to live, I decided to give him the beautiful book. I signed as if it were a greeting card . He thought it was beautiful . His wife said that as he got weaker and felt too ill to do much , one of the things he had strength to do was look at the lovely hypnotic photographs . The book was small and easy for him to pick it up. It was near his bed . She said the images were pleasing & relaxing to him at a most difficult time . I imagine , as a bird watcher , in his last days , he identified with the vulnerability of beautiful birds and the message of the book, which is; we have much in common with creatures in the wild .

Amazing Photographs and Soulful Words

I ordered this book as a Christmas gift for my 14 year old, artistic daughter, yet it was difficult for me to wrap it up for her! I enjoyed reading the insightful poetry and getting lost in the mystical photographs-- over and over. Finally, I forced myself to wrap it up and I gave it to my daughter yesterday. I know she will find it to be amazing as well!

Beyond inspiration and photography

Not merely a run-of-the-mill book of inspiration and photographs"Winged Soul" touches on the nature of beauty, the inviolability of free will, Taoist philosophy, etc., etc. Plus... Oddly enough and compellingly so... Social commentary! And the photographs! Beautiful and sublime. Worth looking through at least twice.

Such a beautiful book. Nancy McGregor takes you into world of serenity and grace. We ordered two of the photos, "Releve Lent" and "Arabesque Epaule", mounted on aluminum for our New Florida condo. (See attached). Our hearts sing!
