About the author
John Mathis Jr's early pursuit of songwriting was influenced by his father. Country Johnny Mathis was a successful singer and BMI Award Winning songwriter whose songs were recorded by artists that ranged from George Jones to Elvis Costello. 12 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees have recorded his father’s music. This made songwriting and music publishing a natural transition and passion for John that led to his successes in music, including Dove Award nominations as a songwriter and music publisher.
He has over 25 years of experience in the music industry, working with artists across multiple genres. That experience covers multiple facets of the industry, including record label management, distribution and sync licensing.
