Once again this country of origin doesn’t fail to disappoint!
More garbage from that place over there, don’t waste your money, this is pure garbage. See my video for review
Admittedly: the low price of this made me cautious, however it is a solid, and reliable way to bypass an XLR cable across a room. The design is very clever and pairing is a snap. We tested long distances over 100’ and had minimal dropout. The sound quality is punching at a weight class above its low price.

Admittedly: the low price of this made me cautious, however it is a solid, and reliable way to bypass an XLR cable across a room. The design is very clever and pairing is a snap. We tested long distances over 100’ and had minimal dropout. The sound quality is punching at a weight class above its low price.
PROS:
- It is quick and easy to connect from one speaker to the next
- Range, at least when testing at my house and a couple of gigs that didn't require long distance in congested downtown Seattle, was good. On low power, through 1 wall, 1 garage door, plus 1 body and car between the transmitter and receiver, I was able to get about 75 feet. On high power, I was able to get about 125 feet as a bird flies. I am curious how it will perform in other scenarios, especially near water around a lot of other RF.
- Good sound quality.
- You can charge the receiver at the same time as using it.
- I also can use this to turn one of my corded microphones into a wireless option.
CONS:
- You cannot charge the transmitter while using it. This will limit how long you can send audio to a speaker.
- The signal strength meter is not a meter at all. There is one on the transmitter and one on the receiver. The one on the transmitter only lets you know if you are in low power or high power mode. If on low power, it will blink. If on high power, it will remain solid. On the receiver, it lets you know you are connected, but otherwise it is pointless. There also is a green LED light to let you know that you are receiving a signal. I purchased this unit because I saw what appeared to be a signal strength meter, which would greatly help to reduce or eliminate audio dropouts.
- No line volume option. If you plan to use these to make your speakers wireless, you will need to lower the volume input into the transmitter and turn up the volume of your receiving speaker. It doesn't take much to overdrive these with line volume.
- It's hard to know when the units are fully charged. As far as I can tell, it is when the screen finally turns off. I've only been able to accomplish that with the transmitter. I thought my receiver was defective, so I had a replacement shipped to me, but it does the same thing. I don't know if the receiver is actually fully charged or if it is not able to. There is no way to tell.
- When using it at a gig, the receiver drained faster than the transmitter did. I was able to get about 3.5 hours out of it. Again, I don't know if it was fully charged. You just can't tell with the receiver. When I unplugged it from the charging cable, the battery indicator said it was full :/
- This is minor, but worth pointing out. When there is no signal, the receiver signal light, not to be confused with the green LED light, will blink to let you know where is no connection. When it blinks, you can hear a small, faint pop each time. Probably nothing anyone would notice unless you are in a super quiet room and you have your speaker turned all the way up.
CONCLUSION:
It is a decent unit for what it does, especially if you only plan to use it as a mic and not turn your speakers wireless. I haven't had enough time with it yet to test the range in different locations. So far, at home and at 2 gigs, it's been pretty good. It's not exactly what I was looking for, but for the price, and depending on more field testing, I may keep it.
UPDATE 3/21/23
After not using this unit for a small period, it surprised me that the transmitter did not hold a charge, even though I charged it fully before I put it away. I have 2 of these units and both transmitters have the exact same problem. The receivers, however, held their charges excellent. I'm not sure why the transmitters are problematic. I assume this could be related to the issue where the transmitters never seem to reach full charge, despite how long I tried. I knocked a star off of my review. Originally 4 stars, it is now 3. As long as you charge them before an event, you should be good for about 3 hours.
