Sure Thing was short, sweet, and served as the perfect palate cleanser. Insta-love is usually one of my least favorite tropes, so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this short story because it really worked here. Reading about these two reminded me of the butterflies you get when you meet someone new, and I loved the nostalgic feel.
Although Brooke is a bit jaded and has been burned by love in the past, she can’t help but be drawn to Grayson, whose sweetness was a refreshing change from the overdone alpha males readers (myself included) tend to favor. Seriously, kudos to the author for writing a hero who is an actual good guy.
Read this if you like short stories with low angst, lots of sweetness, and a touch of spice.
