I got these because I needed some heel protection for sleeping. I have very rough heels, and can easily shred a pair of sheets in just a few weeks. Yet most of the heel protection socks are also moisturizing, or have silicone heels. I find those not that great at moisturizing and uncomfortable to put on and wear. These heel pads are easy to put on and provide great protection. They are 5 stars for my needs. If you need them to provide some moisturizing effect, you may want to look at other socks with silicone heels.
