This battery works as described
This is a handy battery and works as described. The reason for the 4stars is I recently went to use the supplied car charger only to discover it didn't fit my car charger. I hand only been using the regular outlet plug to recharge the battery and since it was past my return date I couldn't get a car charger that fit . So lesson is try everything whennit arrives to avoid mishaps. But I do get at least 4Hr charge when using outlets for my usage.

Likes - light weight. Will power lamps, and iPad/ iPhone devices. Portable.

When using it on just a lamp with a 760 lumens / 8.5 watts bulb, the battery loses its charge faster than I expected . I use the same brand solar panels (sold separately ) to charge this unit . Charging the unit via solar panels also can take quite a while . More than 6 hours. And it doesn’t appear fully charged even at that.

I plan on keeping it. Got a pretty good buy . Just wish it kept its charge longer for such low wattage devices.

We wanted to power some Christmas lights on our patio for a social function and thought this would be perfect rather than running an extension cord.

I charged it for 24 hours and then connected 3 sets of small Chistmas lights, about 30 feet. They lit up and I thought I was in business. Then 15 minutes later lights went out and the charger was off. Checked and had 3/4 bars of power left so turned the battery back on, plugged in the lights and they worked. For about 15 more minutes until it shut off again at 2/4 bars of power. Repeat and same at 1/4 bars of power. Seems like it will only keep the lights on for max of an hour, and turns itself off after each bar of power is expended. Based on my experience I can't imagine this could power much more than a phone or tablet. Certainly can't see it working for all the electronics shown in the pics.

I got mine with a special bundle... including the Solar Panel Charger and the carrying case... what a deal! It is small... and living in FL... and dealing with thunderstorms and hurricanes... I always make sure it is topped off so that I can handle emergencies. I feel that this fits a need and it is smaller and portable. Easy to wisk off to work, or in your car on travel, etc. Had a good power adapter for charging... you can charge it in your hotel room if you were driving, or anywhere that has power. All in all, very satisfied. Have not had a chance to use the solar charger yet... not a lot of sun in the cloudy wintertime here in Orlando... but now that it is shing more... and getting hotter... LOL... I will drain it and try and see how it charges via solar. Very satisfied!

This Marbero power bank caught my attention with its unique offering of a hand cranked generator/dynamo. So many similar products are called generators; this one actually is. You get two USB ports and a bidirectional USB-C connector. There are no twelve volt DC outputs, nor an AC power inverter. Overall, it's a lot smaller than I expected. You could put it in a big pocket.

Unfortunately, this product falls short of the mark. The rated energy capacity figure (22,500 mAh/22.5 Ah) seems to be fiction. I've run the thing clear down with various loads, charged it back up again and I've come up with an actual capacity figure of somewhere around 11,000 mAh (11Ah). That's about half of what's claimed.

The good: this power bank's USB-C output is capable of PD negotiation and thus can charge devices indicating they're capable of safely receiving a higher voltage. Qualcomm QC devices are seemingly also supported, though I don't own anything meeting that standard and cannot test it.

Both of the lights are bright enough to be useful and I'm glad to see that Marbero didn't include any blinking or flashing modes. (I don't really think anyone is going to have sufficient presence of mind in a bad situation that the first thing they'll do is try to stun or surprise a threat with a rapidly flashing light.)

The bad: don't bother with the hand crank generator/dynamo. Even spun at the rate of three turns per second, which I think you're going to tire of quite quickly, it doesn't do much. As a test, I ran the internal battery all the way down to the point where even the built in lights cut off, cranked the dynamo handle for about ten minutes and expected that this would give me at least a few minutes of flashlight time. It didn't. The lights ran for about thirty seconds and then the battery protection cutout kicked in again. Even if the dynamo were more effective, it's still going to be an extremely tedious and long running process to bring the internal batteries back up with it.

When the internal batteries get low, USB-C PD negotiation appears to stop working reliably. (The battery level scale is also not at all linear.)

All three power ports are linked together, so if you're charging a USB-C device and it can handle a higher voltage, the moment you attach a regular five volt USB device, everything drops to the lower voltage. The ports should be regulated separately. This also casts some doubt on the claimed current rating for all of the ports, especially if they are all being used at once.

Recharging takes a surprisingly long time. Perhaps Marbero was trying to treat the internal batteries gently in the hopes of extending their life. Even from USB C (nine volt output, roughly two amp indicated current draw, which tapered off as the charge concluded) it took almost eight hours to fully charge. Over conventional USB, I suspect a full charge could take a day.

While USB-C PD capability exists, its maximum voltage output is capped at nine volts DC. More power hungry devices are going to have a hard time getting enough current to operate and charge their own battery at the same time. (That said, an attached Chromebook did a fine job of operating and charging from the Marbero power bank.)

I like the idea. If the dynamo were more effective, the energy capacity rating not so wildly exaggerated and each port was regulated separately, this would be a standout product.
