12 years of flawless 24/7/365 service. In that time it has outlived 3 sets of batteries, 2 motors, and helped me win the annual Great Barge Races 4 times!It is installed under the deck of my party barge in a wet compartment that occasionally floods.This morning I discovered it has stopped working. I am not disappointed! It lived far longer then expected.I rarely rate items with 5 stars. This one deserves it.Note: from subtle differences in the photograph, I suspect mine may be an earlier model with equal specs and brand name. Consequently, this review may not get the "confirmed purchase" thumbs up from amazon. Too bad. It is a great product.

I am super impressed with the build quality of this unit. it's not some lightweight plastic piece of junk, it's exceptionally well-built and all of the electronics are encapsulated in epoxy.
It comes with a 2-year warranty but I highly doubt I will need to use it.

I wish the manufacturers of these items would make a remote indicator attachment as these are not usually mounted where you can see them easily. jerry-rigged a fiber optic assy to bring it out to the dashboard of my boat, the downside being I had to glue a small block to the charger to hold the fiber optic cables, that would likely cause me some warranty issues if it were to fail while in warranty even though it doesn't affect the operation/integrity of the unit. Al least it's mounting holes matched the preceding unit, that was a selling point.

I bought the 6A charger because a pair of deep cycle AGMs I keep for emergency purposes were apparently giving my frustrating loud Schumacher charger issues. I've tested the voltage across the battery terminals both during maintenance and without the charger attached and I'm still sitting pretty after a few months.

I didn't realize the 10A version would allow you to run the terminals in parallel to the same connection, so if I was going to buy this again I'd probably get the next model up.

This wouldn't be your best bet if you wanted to quickly charge batteries (like if you were in a hurry to get a car started or if you were trying to top off a battery bank from a generator) but for day-to-day maintenance it's quiet, it doesn't run hot, and it's dead simple to use.

The Guest Charge Pro 2611A was used a battery tender in a Baja boat. When it stopped working I looked for a new one only to find that they had been discontinued. NOT wanting to drill four new holes or change the footprint for a new battery tender I found this unit with the words "direct replacement for Guest 2611A". No dimensions for hole centers I purchased based on faith. Installed in minutes with the exact same dimensions and hole centers. It's a great feeling.
The original unit performed properly right up until someone drove away with it still plugged in, so there was no question on the quality of it. Even the damage was limited to the device.
