About the author

Dr. Delena King is an entrepreneur, educator, advocate, and now an author. She was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and considers her faith and family the most important parts of her life. Delena's advocacy for children began when she became a Parent as Teachers - Parent Educator, helping parents to understand their encouragement at the youngest ages would help improve their child’s school readiness. This was a key reason for her writing The African American ABC Book.
Dr. King holds degrees from Argosy University, Webster University, and Jackson State University. This is Delena’s first children's book, but The African American ABC Book will certainly not be her last one

Homeschooling my children has taught me the importance of diversity and inclusiveness in the selection of books I choose to read to my kids. This was the perfect investment for our homeschooling journey. God Bless Dr. King and all of her future endeavors. Keep up the great work Queen.
