Tessa Smits is an artist and author whose work explores the untapped potential of human creativity and consciousness. After a successful career in business and marketing, a pivotal bankruptcy in 2014 led her to completely transform her life. She moved to Spain, became a full-time artist, and wrote her first book "Bankruptcy It Doesn't Get Any Better" about this transformation.

After five years of Spanish adventures, she returned to the Netherlands where she wrote her second book "I Give Birth to the Universe" (2023), which became a bestseller with over 22,000 copies sold in Dutch before its English translation. Through her art and writing, Tessa investigates the intersection of creative power, personal freedom, and human connection. Her work challenges conventional boundaries and invites readers to explore the seemingly impossible.

    In the last month, I read this book twice from cover to cover (in Dutch) and it continues to be a truly life-changing and energizing experience, bringing about paradigm shifting positive change with every page I reread. Tessa’s frank and open sharing, creates a safe place, where we can allow ourselves to be more vulnerable and authentic. It’s thrilling to consider what could happen if people would trust their instincts, and their ‘why’. If we could all show up open minded every day, truly connect and surrender to what could be the world could be a an amazing place…
