This skimmer is great!!! I bought it in April 2020 and after exactly 4 years (in the sun), the plastic piece broke. Their warranty is top notch. I went to their web page, put in my Amazon order number and shipping information and had a new one within a week, no questions asked!!! A+

Even with well-made products, they will succumb to the heat, UV, and freezing that happens here yearly. So I expected that this product too would encounter an issue.
Issue:
I gave 4 stars for durability as it did fail after 3 years. Though I would say 3 TX years = like 6 years in most places.
The plastic warped and now it will not pick up little stuff on the bottom of the pool any longer. It is very faded and now is more pink than red, and the net is pretty stiff. It might be hard to tell by the picture but there is a warp right in the middle where I need it to be flat to pick up the little stuff.
AMAZING:
The company has a very easy online registration process (well done!) once registered you can file a claim. My product is not totally dead so I picked standard shipping (be a good human, save them some shipping costs) if you do not need it quickly. I quickly got an email about my registration and claim. Today after only 5 days after putting in my claim a brand new product arrived. I snapped it back onto my pole and was able to clean up BB-sized seeds out of the bottom of the pool again.
DO THIS:
Buy from this company, they stand behind their products, and yes they are more expensive than some that you can find out there, but there are 3 big reasons to buy from them.
1. They understand customer service and stand behind what they say (SO RARE THESE DAYS).
2. They do use quality materials, this can not be said for many things these days.
3. They are continuing to innovate on their product, the new product has a deeper and wider net than my old one. A very pleasant surprise.
Thank you Pro Tuff products. I will be buying more from you and hope others do too.

When I read lifetime warranty in this day and age I look at the price, how many years I think it will last, and think about it on a per year average.
