About the author
Ronesha D. Dennis is a software engineer, instructor, and author who began coding around 11 years old, when she created her first website for her favorite artist.
Her journey and love of technology continued as she studied computer networking in high school; however, she allowed her love for writing to take her down a different path, studying journalism and she completed her degree in Communications from Howard University in 2011. Several years later, after a short time working as an Office and Fulfillment Manager then Partnerships Manager for a national nonprofit, Ronesha decided to return to her first love--her childhood love--coding. With a new set of eyes and a greater understanding about how the things she'd been self-taught as a child would look in a career, Ronesha pivoted into software engineering and coding instruction. She has since taught over 200 students, both youth and young adults, ranging in age from 5 to 23 years old.
As a software engineer, Ronesha has worked with government and international clients, growing from a junior engineer to a lead engineer while working at a Virginia-based consulting firm. She currently works with clients independently through Bergeron-Woodley Company. In 2021, Ronesha completed her Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Boston University.
Ronesha is the author of the Coding with Cornell series for young readers aged 3-8+ and Python, the Relatable Way for adult beginners interested in learning how to code. The Coding with Cornell series peaked in the top 15 of Amazon's Children's Computer Programming Books in November 2023.

I thought the concepts were broken down wonderfully and easy enough to explain to my 3- and 5-year-old children. Also, perfect to explain to an adult who does not have any programming knowledge!
So proud of the author and what a pleasure it was to purchase this book!

- the illustration and rhyming keeps the attention on the page so the child isn’t skimming the page or turning too soon how some little ones do.
-clearly defines the terms gives a simple example with definitions and rules
