This book is intentional in its design and delivery. There is a reason it is called Get to the Point: Leadership Solutions to Leadership Problems. This is a book that does not waste time with trivialities, and gets to the point quickly. It covers a lot of ground in a short read. Rather than being filled with observations, stories, and pondering, this book gets directly to strategy that can be applied. Its focus is on solving common leadership problems.

I have learned that to be true with more than 13 years of professional leadership experience. Byron Davis has studied and practiced leadership for the past 14 years. He has been a classroom teacher, directed communications, worked with private and public organizations, and has facilitated strategic planning. He has coached and he has successfully led organizations at varying scales.

As a principal, Byron led a Title I elementary school from being unaccredited to achieving full accreditation in just one year and maintained its status. He built the first division-wide year-round school program in the state of Virginia.

The culmination of his experiences have given him deep insight into universal leadership principles. He shares his insights in his book, Get to the Point: Leadership Solutions to Leadership Problems.

    These are clever and easily digestible leadership techniques. The book has nice diagrams and pictures to back up leadership concepts and help them to stick in your mind. Great book!
