Purchase options and add-ons
Enter the U.S. military. According to the U.S. Army War College, militaries operate in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous battlespace. As such, they have to be prepared to be resilient, to be able to bounce back after a loss and rebuild quickly en route to victory. The U.S. military, and specifically fighter aviation, offers a roadmap to resilience success. It offers us an approach to Building Resilience.
Our five authors are all former U.S. fighter pilots. They each have compelling stories to tell. But most importantly, they each offer a roadmap to resilience that can be applied by anyone in truly any setting. Together they provide us with a flight plan for Building Resilience.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2023Five military combat proven leaders wrote this must-read book, “Building Resilience - How to Move Past Fear into Real Toughness as a Team” to help us all learn from disruptions in our lives and thrive vs survive. What I like most about this book are the personal stories, along with the “Points to Ponder” at the end of each chapter. For example, Former Air Force Colonel and retired Air Force Fighter Pilot Robert “Cujo” Teschner emphasizes; “Life will always be disruptive. How we deal with disruptions is what matters.” In the “Points to Ponder”, Cujo asks you to think about how you view setbacks and reflect on your natural response. Fighter Pilot, Air Force Colonel (retired), and former Air Force Thunderbird Chris “Elroy” Stricklin challenges readers to avoid being a victim and instead “emerge as a victor” and thrive when faced with obstacles. This book will teach you how to plan for success, along with better understand your strengths, tools and team. Highly recommended.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2023I thoroughly enjoyed reading Building Resilience. Each of the authors highlights personal experience, challenges and methods for dealing/overcoming. Personally, many of the topics discussed resonated with me as they applied to both my personal and business lives. In particular, I appreciated the "Points to Ponder" section at the conclusion of each chapter which (for me) really forced me to focus on the specific topic - as it potentially applied to my life.
Thanks again to the authors for sharing your experiences. I'll be re-reading again very soon.
