Even Now I Know: A Journey from Grief to Gratitude Kindle Edition

5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars 18 ratings

Are you feeling lost and alone in grief?

According to the CDC, approximately 1 in 100 pregnancies that survive twenty weeks or longer is affected by stillbirth. Grief can send you into a downward spiral if not held in check.

Even Now I Know is a vivid picture of a family of faith navigating through a myriad of emotions, challenges, heartache, and frustration. In it, Dr. Michael Bullock shares his creative perspective on the conversations surrounding the biblical story of Mary, Martha, Lazarus, and Jesus.

Through Martha’s words to Jesus, we gain perspective about a Lord who can heal us, help us, and honor our progression of climbing out of a dark place and into His gracious arms. When we cannot find answers, only then will we realize Christ is THE Answer. Martha helps us find our way and find hope surrounded by laughter once again.

Discover how to:

  • Heal through past pain so you can create a bigger future
  • Find joy and laughter so you can experience all the goodness God has to offer
  • Move from grief to gratitude so you can create positive change in the world

Suffering loss does not mean you have to be lost. Although painful, grief and loss can also propel us to find a deeper purpose in life. Let’s transition into gratitude together.

Experiencing loss is difficult. Dr. Bullock’s raw account of loss in his family resonates. “Looking into the face of someone else’s pain and loss is different from when we look in the mirror and see our own,” he writes.Whether families experience loss from a miscarriage, a sleeping birth, a loved one gone too soon, or an aging or elderly person, the words in “Even Now I Know” capture the humanity of how individualized experiencing grief is for those left behind. Through tears, questioning, and finding purpose, Dr. Bullocks prophetic book is worth a read.

As a long-term pastor who has ministered to grieving families, it is important to have great resources. As one who grieved the loss of a spouse, I have learned the value of those who have lived lives of grief and healed well. This book helps those who have suffered a still birth or late-term miscarriage. Using the death of Lazarus and the encounter Jesus had with his sisters, we too can heal. Mike Bullock has written from the perspective of grief with the heart of a Dad and Pastor. A great resource for all in those circumstances.

Dr. Michael Bullock eloquently puts into words the emotions and struggles of having your world/faith shattered by tragedy and then the journey back to faith in the Lord. Dr. Bullock intertwines stories from the Bible that helped guide him through and understand his grief. The book sheds light on the lack of understanding, awareness and support for mothers and families who have lost a child. Many of the insights from the book have helped me look at situations, people and life in general from a new perspective.

Dr. Michael Bullock has provided informative and inspirational guidelines for charting and staying on course while processing grief and progressing into gratitude. His transparency of personal and family struggles provides effective navigation to help us through life as we experience painful and unexpected situations. This book is a unique gift and declaration of how God can help us walk through dark places and enrich our lives.

This is a personal story of one families journey of their born sleeping child/grandchild. The permanent scars etched into ones soul from the loss, pain and grief. When your faith is tested. I highly recommend reading even if your pain/grief isn’t about the loss of a child. I believe anyone going through a life altering event can benefit from reading the personal and real life testimony of this heartbreaking tragedy.

This candid and beautiful book is a testament of faith, written both to honor the life of Dr. Bullock's stillborn grandson, Miles,
and to offer hope and healing to others who experience this devastating loss.
Having experienced the stillbirth of my youngest daughter 35 years ago, I am certain this book will bring comfort to others who are navigating this overlooked grieving process.

An honest encounter, from a man’s prospective, of the birth of a still born grandchild. This book details the ups but mostly downs, a family experiences through such a loss and how, by remaining faithful to one another and to God, they are able to find hope in this life and a purpose in and from the pain.
